Great content - just joined the game. :)
I actually built two additional mines upon unlocking the third part of the isle and held off getting started with alchemist and tannery.. you just ned soooooo much titanium (and will need it for a while, as all the new bars have titanium as direct/indirect ingredient). Having three mines level up simultaneously will definitely also benefit later. Of course you need a lot of money, but if you rush herbalism to lvl 6/7 that's not a real issue.

Thank you! That's a good idea! I may do that with my extra slot or just add it to a F2P island. Just remember you can have up to 3 islands per account, but only 1 can be F2P
