my whole life ive been learning how to draw, but as I near the end of school, I need to figure out what I want to actually pursue. sculpting has been something I want to make into a career. That has always seemed difficult as where I live, to find someone who teaches that is very very rare, but your channel and lessons on proko has given me the start I need, so thank you for your knowledge.
Omg, I wasn’t expecting this to be so informative. Thank you very much for your tips. I got clay two years ago but didn’t know where to start, or a thing about how you set the sculpture on the wood base, the metal skeleton thing, nothing.
Thanks! Yeah this really just scratches the surface but the lessons in free pdf go over everything that you might have questions about. Good luck with your sculpting!
Just bought your ebook. I hesitated as I thought it was only going to be for sculpting, but after skimming through, it's going to be useful for sketching, too. I like how accessible it is. Straight to the point, which is the best tuition, I think.
I'm a new Proko 'Drawing Basics' member, which must've led me here. I haven't sculpted anything since school almost (gulp!) 40 years ago! No idea why I haven't been near it since. You're really inspiring.
@CastellanSpandex well you might give it a try! I love drawing too and am trying to draw more but I really connected with working with my hands and sculpting clay.
i think about this and other stuff a lot, but the problem is to keep thinking and waiting to have the PERFECT tools, but i dont consider that i don't need them that much (as you just showed). I think that simply starting from somewhere and doing it is really the only thing to do. Thanks for the video
@@darkkastraa yes you don’t need anything special to start but starting is the most important thing. And the free assignments checklist pdf will also give you specific things to work on as you learn. But only you can decide to start sculpting.
this is insane because i just opened up youtube to find videos on how to get started and then i see this on my recommendations
Google knows.... and I'm glad you found the video! :D
So the chip in your head s working.

@microvaves glad to hear you’ve found the info useful! Drawing definitely helps inform sculpture.

Hey glad to hear it and thanks for letting me know!
@AndrewJosephKeith It was interesting watching you make a chess set. I imagine they're both pursuits you have to think many steps ahead with.
thankyou for all the lessons and making it affordable and fun.
No problem!
Happy New year 🎉

Hocam elimde monster clay kili var sert. Kalici olarak yumuşaltmanin bir yolu varmı ?
Warm it up and that softens it for the early stages of the sculpture then it hardens to hold the details.
@ evet onu sizden öyrenmişdim fakat kalıcı olarak yumuşaltmanın yolunu arıyorum . Yinede tesekkurler
Please can you make fimo clay and make Minecraft clay art 😢😢😢 please
Probably not as that doesn't interest me but I'm sure you can! The sculpting principles I teach can be applied to whatever you want to sculpt!
