Two of the Great Jamaican Female Vocalist Judy Mowatt and the Queen Marcia Griffiths coming together and doing a beautiful rendition of Bob Marley's "Redemtion Song", I truely believe that they should do a Version for themselves..
We run away from bitter medicine Trouble is, that's the only thing that will cure this ailment. Hundreds of years later and our subconscious minds still recoil from the memory of the atrocities perpetrated against us.
These songs are part of Black people's daily lives, experience and more. For Europeans, it's a SHOW, A Concert, its Aesthetic, it's entertainment. For Africans it's not about the Sisters It's about reality. Let the Sisters spread the Message. We live it Just appreciate the concert and do not cast it in terms of Black and White
Please do not be so racially prejudiced. I am white. I grew up on these songs. They meant then and continue to mean a great deal to me. Calypso, groovy soca, rock steady, ska, bluebeat, early reggae. These non-Latin Caribbean musics have been my inspiration every since: from the Jamaican musics as a wee teenager on to an opening out to Trini and smaller island sounds. Music is colour-blind. May it always be so.
We're playing "catch up" with a loveless, "soul-less" race. The only way to do this is to chase a germ filled, dirty piece of paper that only brings fleeting happiness. To the detriment of our priceless souls.
There this song sang by a lady and redemption word when the song it starts she repeats the word lyk three tyms who is the lady and the song and it an old song BT it's beats are cool while playing with woofer
what's funny is that the crowd looks to be about 100% white! why arent my black brothers and sisters interested in attending a concert by these two heavy hitters?
Aging gracefully,if they were in their 20s i would marry any of them especially judy mowatt🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

What a gift? Judy has such a singular voice that complements Marcia's perfectly! and on "Redemption Song" it's very melancholy.
