I live in Hawaii and visiting Washington for holidays I took my first “road trip” from Seattle to Yakima right before New Years & the snow capped mountains thru snoqualmie pass I swear it’s the most beautiful scenery I’ve seen so far
I lived in Yakima many years, it isn't perfect but what city is? This is a wonderful video. I almost cried as I watched. I am now living in New Zealand. It is lovely but I miss home. God bless you Yakima.
I grew up in Yakima. My whole family is still there. I work outside so the super hot summers and freezing winters just wouldn’t work for me. Love the video and memories.
It’s a little boring in Yakima but the place has really grown on me. There are a lot of jerk rich people that bother me but I guess the schools and locations are alright to say the most but when you get used to everything it’s pretty nice. Just wish I knew some history about this place.
If you're rich and live in the good side of town. This place is for you. Then again there has been instances of crime in the good area too. So lululululululu

@@marioduron4376 Could you explain what you mean a bit more about intolerance? Do you mean politically, ethnically, economically or how? I have only lived here for nine months and am hearing so much negativity that I really do not see, just yet. I've met some rather strange people, with obvious problems, but all cities have that. Would appreciate any further insight you might have. Thanks!
@@esotericsolitaire I might have over done that comment. I was having a reaction to steriotypeing. And I found that Yakima white supremacists gangster moved into Washington county, and started his click. I'm just annoyed at mild intimation, of white supremacists.
@@marioduron4376 Ah, so white supremacists have been a problem in this area. Yeah, I encountered some of that while living in the South. I notice very few people of African American descent here.
@@esotericsolitaire Personally I learned a lesson about what this generation is working with, when I visited Yakima. I was a guest of a childhood playmate. We went on a fishing trip, with one side of his family. And stayed in Yakima, with the other Grandparents. I did have some small issues with them, but it taught me not to need to define or prejudge. I had an issue as a child, being discriminated as Mexican. That held me back in school, and sports. Being from a small White town. I actually had problems with step family using racism. My elder step brother got inspired of White supremacy during a family vacation. But I am well aware I haven't experienced what the South has.
Yakima is too focused on expansion. What are y'all doing for us folks that live here? Our fucked up sidewalks and streets need fixed. We need another homeless shelter. How about more affordable clinics for the poor. Your focus has only been on the middle to upper class and the poor are left behind to rot. How about the out of control meth and gang problems? Check your priorities Yakima. This city is a cancer.
I was going to move from a peaceful and orderly town in the South to Yakima for a job. My perception of Washington were scenic mountains, nature and socially conscience people. After watching this video, its like someone opened a door and let in all the trash, disgust, and violent animals pour in speaking Spanish.
