    Hello ASL Heroes!!!
Hey, I could really use your help.
If you’ve enjoyed having access to an expert in ASL you can help me continue my work for you. A small (or more if you can afford it) donation from you would instantly make a big difference here at the studio because teachers don’t earn much and I could use some help paying for server and domain hosting for Lifeprint.com.
You can help out a humble (not to mention kind, caring, generous, compassionate, helpful, friendly, fair, and hard-working) ASL teacher -- just go here right now and a few clicks later you too will be a true “ASL Hero!”

    Or use Patreon at www.patreon.com/ASLU
Every little bit helps so much!
    Thanks!

ASL teachers have got to be the best kind of teachers! They’re so much fun. I’ve loved my high school asl teacher and you’re also a blast to watch.

    hello Dr. Vicars,
I would like to thank you for these videos as my wife is deaf and we have some issues with talking to each other as my signing is horrible. but each time I watch one of these, I get a little better. I owe my relearning of ASL to you and these very helpful lessons. when the Co-Vid thing has passed I plan on getting your 'super USB' to further help my ability to talk with my wife in a way that she is comfortable with. I say "re-learn" because I started learning ASL when we first met about 21yrs. ago, then we lost touch. she found me again about 6-7yrs ago and we got married about 4yrs. ago.
    thank you. Phil B.

How cool to know I'm helping out with someone's marriage!
Warm regards to you and your wife!

I just want to say thank you. While I am going deaf quickly due to medical and surgical situations sign language has become a reality for me. Your videos gave me the info and courage I needed to walk into a true class room and get the help I needed. While I am still searching for help and info due to asu not having asl classes, I will venture far and wide to do my best

Hmmm ... I suppose if "ASU" doesn't have any ASL classes you could suggest to one or more "deans" at ASU that they set up ASL 1 through ASL 4 (either "online" or in-person) and hire a teacher.
I could be headhunted away from my current day job for the right price.

Once I move in with my boyfriend next year, I'm planning on teaching him basic ASL because of how passionate I am to learn it. I also want to teach our children ASL starting from them being babies even though my partner and I are both hearing. I think it's an incredible language to learn, and also very important to speaking to people in the deaf community

No response I or anyone in the ASLU organization provides should be taken to confirm, deny, or accept in any way the premise that warm bodies being cried on is a laughing matter.

An explanation via close caption or more typing on the computer screen would help. I don’t sign regularly and some signs used I was unfamiliar with. Thank you.

Well-done Legend.please can you help with the sign for ventilator used during Covid-19

    • @sign-language
      @sign-language  4 роки тому

A fairly safe approach is to (in context) sign "breathe machine,."
You can see the sign for "breathe" in this sentence:
      ua-cam.com/video/KiCVBtp6Gzw/v-deo.html
You can see the sign for machine here:
      ua-cam.com/video/kLBi8cuw5w0/v-deo.html
Just combine the two signs "breathe" + "machine."

      Hello Bill!
This video was recorded a while back but as far as I know it wasn't published .
Due to the pandemic I've been going back to my old hard drives and finding quite a few unpublished instructional sessions. Most are in an older format and have huge file-sizes that need to be stitched together and compressed to a reasonable size for uploading (so as to not wipe out my data allotment for the month and to actually succeed in uploading).
