Thanks so much for this great information. I'm just getting started, so the learning curve is a bit steep, but you do a great job of explaining things simply, then in more depth. I created my first VAPI last night, which was an AI agent that prepares people for the AI apocalypse. :)
Appreciate you sharing this information. Can you look at Rescheduling, allowing clients to rebook an appointment within a 24 hours notice period. It would be really helpful to see how to add this functionality to this workflow.
Great videos on scheduling Jannis. I would love to see your prompting on a system like this. I am finding mine are SO long. Would love to see a video and hear your thoughts, and see your examples of the logic you are using in your prompts. Thanks!
I have a video specifically about prompting. You'll find that here: ua-cam.com/video/Kw8uQZdJ57s/v-deo.html still pretty much accurate as long as you don't use o1 :)
would you say getting the clients free time before hand and adding that to a google calendar is more optimal than just connecting the AI agent to whatever external calendar they use?
It definitely makes it easier if you always work with an integration that you already built beforehand. You won't be able to sell that specific solution to everyone but it might simplify some deliveries.
A calendar is a calendar - You'll miss tons of utility there, especially if it comes to state management. If the calendar has it's own user db implemented, you should be fine to use that though (as long as they expose it)
Hi Moore, I watched the video. But I have a question. You're talking about the budget, and the more complex it is, the more it costs. Could you give me an estimate of how much it costs to develop/maintain a complex service? Because I imagine that to do that, you need to have certain paid tools. Which ones would those be? I use basic tools like Vapi, Airtable, and Make, but I would like to develop something more complex to offer. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
You can even build more complex scenarios on Make.com The choice is yours. We love Make because it comes with tons of flexibility, which is really crucial in a world of ever-changing features
@@jannismoore thanks for the response man. I have gone through your resource hub. What I meant was is there a way we can have the setup of the booking system 😀. We only have the solution pictures in the hub. Hopefully you understand what I mean by this
@@aj_won_design There isn't really a "simple template" I can share. This system is always nuanced to different service providers, storage platforms, and usage
Hi VAPI team, I’m having an issue with the Vietnamese voice option. Even though I selected Vietnamese, it still defaults to English. Can you please look into this and update or fix the issue? Thank you!
@@ionutcosminlang If you have a super basic calendar need, then that's great. The problem is that it's super limited and you can't cover many cases. To make that more practical. With their setup, you could potentially achieve Solution 3 out of the 8 that I show. And that's only the case if you use something like cal.com.

Awesome! Looking forward to watching and getting some valuable details and enhancements as always! Thanks Jannis.
Glad to be of help. Enjoy!

Thanks a ton, Jannis! Could you possibly create a video on building a multilingual assistant with Vapi? That would be amazing!
Will do that soon - big updates coming soon!

@@jannismoore from your experience which one of the 2 is more common to implement. Also thanks for your reply!

very helpful! Why did you also update the database? Can't you use calendar as your database? Does user database make it easier to search?

Hi Jannis, I am looking at your vapi tutorial vids and feeling a bit overwhelmed, which video would you recommend I should start out with? Thanks
I have a beginners playlist - that might help :)
Thanks for sharing! Will you make a tutorial on how to build this using vapi and make? Thanks :)
Only the cancellations or the whole setup?
It took us roughly 3 months to get our system where it is now, so I guess its a bit too long for UA-cam :)
