Thank you so much for your video - the contents, the delivery. There is something about it (the tone, the choice of words) that is very caring without being intrusive or over-optimistic, it’s earnest but relaxed and makes one hopeful about being able to address issues we all may have.
Thank you for uploading this vid! It really helped, after a long summer of forgetting everything that I've learned in college, this really helped me to get back into the swing of things! ;) Straight to the point and easy to understand!
I found this a really useful orientation into life scripts and the relationship between injunctions and drivers. I particularly like Rory's gentle warm style. Jo Monson
Just referencing TA in education as part of an assignment, but found myself listening to both clips.. very interesting and informative. Made me think about my life scripts and how powerful they have been in forming my character - good question on how relevant they are now. I'm off to ponder. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I'm curious how we disentangle the influence of parental influence on our life script ('you're reckless!') as a causal factor in future behaviour (we take on a risky persona) from alternative factors (genetic tendency to risky behaviour/supporting personality traits, early positive risky experiences etc.) which themselves could be a casual factor in the parental influence. That is - to what extent are life scripts constructed and to what extent are they descriptive? Maybe I'm missing the mark here?
Sam Thank you for your reply, my intention is to provide an overview of theory, not a substitute for lectures or reading at undergraduate level ! I am aware of Ainsworth's contribution to the attachment debate and may very well revisit her contribution in more depth in a future presentation. I wish you all the best in your studies and hope that the other presentations were of help. Kind regards Rory
Thanks for this channel, it's been extremely useful!! Great explanations and information. I wish I had found it sooner as my exam it tomorrow. All the best :)
This video is very helpful, im studying Relationship Transaction Analysis at the moment and had difficulty understanding what a life script was, how it was wording in my material in my workbook is not clear but this makes it clear and i can see how it works now, thank you.
Thanks a lot. Both your videos were really great informative anf also practical. May I ask you to explains about gmaes which would happen in transactional Analysis? and also I have another question. How is it possible to change the mode of a transaction which is strated with parent to child to adult- adult?
Hi Sam I have taken your comments on board and produced another presentation which can be found on this channel , can you feed back to say if it meet your needs Rory
I enjoy your video highly, they're a strong point in proving what I attempt to explain to friends when situations like these occur. I did however notice something that brought out the child side of me, the page bar on the top when I'm on this video says exactly this "An introduction to transactional anal..." it cuts off, but I enjoyed the chuckle.

Who is the “Who is this” figure? I’m in the USA and imagine it’s a popular British cartoon character?
