    A word about those tracks. Had them. They break easy and require a lot of maintenance. The anti rotation bars are particularly fragile. They’re also REALLY hard on front end components and wheel bearings.

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  3 місяці тому

      We've actually had them for a total of over 1000 hours total on 3 machines. Heavy use all year, over 3 years now. There are very few problems with the Camso tracks. Extremely high quality. Zero problems with the bearings to this date.
      I think folks drive them poorly tho. We use them as recommended, meaning under 20 mph, 4WD, low range. 1 Ranger was at 2500 miles and 550 hours when we upgraded., All in changes of 400' elevation, rocks, mud, ice and deep snows. We also use them 365 for work and play. Absolutely incredible, actually! We have had zero repairs on the Rangers or Kubota RTV due to the tracks.

    I just bought the Honda Pioneer 1000 last summer . I love it and I like that it's shaft driven. No belts to change or go bad.

      Those are really nice ive ridden in a lot of them! About those belts tho...the cool thing is the average belt lasts many year's and is easy and cost effective to change...if a shaft fails that's a big one 😬 I have been riding in 2 Rangers with belts that have failed tho...one pushing heavy snow for 2 days...the other revving high rpms in deep snow with tracks. Both operator error 😁

      The belt is in the transmission if it's a cvt. Pretty much all side by sides are shaft drive to each wheel. I would check to see what transmission it has.

    I love my Suzuki Carry mini truck here in Indiana ag land. 5speed tranny w/hi-lo 4x4. Heat and defrost,
    Wipers. Large bed only 30inch high
    Weights at 1100lb with me inside.
    Payload close to same.Looks good with big buck in the back! Hauls lots of firewood from woods and lots of use in the yard with sticks,leaves,mulch,garden stuff. Going for country Cruz with Hermajisty...I mean my wife in the evenings.
    It has its limitations but I'm not into going mud bogging or trying to go somewhere asking for trouble but it has surprised me a few times by where it will go . Under $10,000.
    Also it is very quiet with automotive muffler on 660cc 3cyl engine.Parts are easy to find also. Also like my BX2680 Kubota tractor! Nice video as usual.

    Great Video Jeff, I really appreciate the Polaris review as I work for Polaris in Minneapolis. Your comments on AC got me talking to our Aftermarket team and you are right in that you cannot get AC on any of our vehicles except the Ranger Northstar which is installed at the factory. I wont bore you with all the technical details but the vehicle architecture makes it difficult to incorporate a compressor and evaporator and requires environmental certification/validation on every vehicle platform. You probably wont see it as an accessory but you will probably see it offered on more of our upcoming new vehicle launches as factory installed option. I also would encourage you to Check out our new Electric Ranger. It has more torque/power than the gas Ranger and it is whisper quite. I cant wait till they are available to Employees. Keep the videos coming as I am a big Fan and have used what you teach to completely transform my Wildlife Farm in Wisconsin.

      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  2 роки тому

      Hi Daniel! I hope this helps. This is from a First Lite bio that I wrote up a while back...
      My absolute favorite, go-to outer wear is the Solitude combo of both bibs and jacket. As a cold front, treestand sitting whitetail hunter, I find myself wearing the Solitude combo during 60% of my sits from early October thru late January. 20% of the time I find myself wearing the Catalyst bibs and jacket paired with the whitetail vest over the top if needed. Also, 20% of the time I wear the heavyweight Sanctuary bibs and jacket and I often mix and match the Sanctuary bibs with the Solitude jacket, or the Solitude bibs with the Catalyst jacket and whitetail vest. For extreme temps (10 degrees F or below) I enjoy pairing the lightweight, thin, wind-stopping Brooks down vest with the Sanctuary combo. From warmer weather to freezing cold, the Kiln and Furnace long Johns combined with the kiln long sleeve and Furnace 1/4 zip keep me dry and warm next to my skin. I'm also rarely in the woods without either my Windriver or Tundra Balaclavas, a brim hat, Merino wool cap and of course, the Firts Lite hand muff.

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  2 роки тому +2

      You have to kill them and then disturb the spill. But most of the time ferns are growing in shady areas so you also have to remove the canopy if that is true.
      Ferns are very easy to kill by spraying a mix of 2 quarts of Glyphosate and 1 pint per acre of 2-4D (combine them) right after the leaf opens up.

    • @NeedsMoreToys
      @NeedsMoreToys 2 роки тому

      I have plenty of ferns growing in full sun but on low pH soil. Glyphosate works well if you get them sprayed in spring right after the heads open. I will say though my bare root red pines and Norway spruce grow well in ferns as the ferns provide sun protection during low rain months of July and Aug.

I think of it when operating more as a skidsteer then a 4 wheeler.
