I had the wonderful privilege of knowing The Firesign Theatre back in the 1960s. My gang attended their New Year's Eve, 1970 show at the Hollywood Ashgrove. They performed and recorded several cuts for their album "Dear Friends" (you can hear my laughter during the commercial for "The Musical Heritage Record Club of Hong Kong". They also did that last performance of "Nick Danger" for that year.
Again - this sounds like the GOON SHOW. A lot. That "sign here" and here routine could be be Seagoon and Grytpye-Thynne in "THE SINKING OF WESTMINSTER PIER"

Takes me back to the dorm in the 70's, we'd have a few beers and listen to Nick Danger....
We were so into Firesign we recorded our own audio comedy
I think I was at this show, at Barnsdall on E. Hollywood Blvd. One of the last with all 4 firesigns.
Glad you caught them live! I was fortunate to see them perform live in Santa Barbara in the 70's on a Halloween night. Stellar experience!
Damn, I miss these guys.
Lucas, Phil Proctor and Dave Ossman performed just last month in Bellevue, WA. Both are still very active.
so THIS is nick danger. My dads been calling me that since the day i was born
This is Great! I have never seen this performance. Thanks terry!
I sometimes wonder where Ruth is. She left me decades ago. Oh, well!
Everyone called her Nancy.
Oh my God, these guys are geniuses. No one in comedy even comes close to this level of insanity!
I've been a fan since 1979 - thanks for posting this.
Nick Danger; Third Eye! Too much.
Most of this is over the heads of 90% of the YuoTube viewers!
Classic!
I had to be on acid to fully appreciate this...lol.
I was 15 when I first heard this....i've only ever smoked pot (did shrooms once) and I appreciate it plenty, I think.
1976 was lovely....
No anchovies would now be pineapple.
OMG! Too funny. Don't you love that moment of discovery?
Firesign theater .All Hail Lennon and Marx (John and Graucho) I have all their albums!
This is a sad bastardization of one of the greatest things that the firesign theater ever did.

Didn't I know you as Nancy?
Beatles reference. Rocky Raccoon, "Her name was McGill, she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy"
Where was this filmed.

Not the same without the organ.
