Are you sure the lens would not melt the shroud since it is the metal that holds lens and from all that heat?

I'd probably put some threadlock on the lock nut. If it comes loose from the driving vibration, its going to be a pain to deal with again

great video. When you did the epoxy part, I wasn't sure where exactly you were talking about. There are the little tabs that hold the shroud to the projector. Is that it?
Pretty much want to apply the epoxy onto any contact point with the perimeter of the projector lens and the shrouds.
What if I dont install the shroud? Will it spill the light?
Do you use centric rings on the shrouds to mount on the projectors?
For the Mini D2S 3.0 Projectors you don't have to as the clear lens is a 3" lens and is ready to fit almost all our shrouds

Will these projector housings fit in any car that would also accept an H1 projector? As far as the threaded neck goes?
+Sean Williams You will need to widen the hole in order to mount these Mini D2S projectors as the "neck" is wider in diameter than the H1 bulb projectors.
+Lumenetic Lighting what's the best way to widen the hole? do you have a video on that? it's it worth the extra effort to install these projectors over the H1 projectors?
Sorry for the late response but to answer your qeustion, the best and easiest way to widen the hole is with a dremel tool. I would say that you'd be happy with Mini H1 6.0 projectors if your headlights can accept H1 projectors without any modification.
I've got a car that takes H11 bulbs, I want to install bixenon projectors. I know that most aftermarket projectors only use H1, H7, H4, D1s, D2s bulbs. How do I make my H11 work with those bulbs?

This projector will fit in the super duty but will require a little modification to the back of the reflector on your headlight.

The Mini D2S 3.0 Projectors use D2S bulbs. H7 bulbs will not fit.

We recommend looking at the size ofyour headlights. If you have larger headlights, you can use a larger projector so that it looks better. If you use too small of a projector, it might look like it doesn't belong i nthe headlight. This is all personal preference of course. How are you getting round that there is now no headlight flash function on that headlight with only a xenon bulb fitted? This makes the lights illegal and will fail any inspection anywhere, surely?

If you haven't found your d2s projector yet, go to online The Retrofit Store and they got different kits you can choose from.

Daniel Lumenier you really should consider just buying Depo 06+ Z headlights. Your 03 housings are an absolute night mare to retrofit

No these projectors only work with D2S HID bulbs.
so can anybody tell me what I have to do with the negative and positive cable that the projector comes with? I have a chevy impala and it originally uses h11 bulbs but i will be retrofiting with a h1 mini 2.5 projector but idk if I would need any other harnesses or adapters apart from my h11 relay harness that I already have installed.Please reply.

You can make almost any HID Projector fit any car (given the space and modifications needed to your headlight) as it is a Retrofit to your existing headlights. The wires coming out of the back of the projector are for the high beam solenoid. Those wires control the solenoid that actuates a shield to move down so that you can have high beam capabilities. These projectors are meant to be used with HID D2S bulbs. Will not work with LED fitted bulbs.
So a h4 would fit on the d2s
+bertin fierros If you have a headlight that uses H4, the adapter plate will make it so that you can install the projector that uses the D2S bulb. The Mini D2S 3.0 projector you see in the video uses a D2S bulb and the H4 adapter makes it easy to install into an H4 based headlight.
Does anyone know if I can go dual projector on my 2005 CRV headlights? Got one set for my low beams, I want to tackle the high beams, but I’m not sure.

Thanks. Couple of question. 1. Why do you need the epoxy when the shrouds fits the projectors perfectly? 2. How do you adjust the height of your projector/light throw to make sure that you don't blind oncoming drivers?!
Amjath Khan it is to ensure that the shrouds do not fall off from hard bumps for example, and to make sure the fit is tight as there is a little wiggle room between the shrouds and the projectors. If you were to mount halos to the shrouds this would be especially important as they could vibrate from the gap and it would be noticeable. Silicone should also work fine, but be aware if it is not intended for use inside engines then it will contain VOC which will off-gas and may fog up the lens, so let it dry for a day before closing the housing. Silicone would be easier to remove if you ever need to.
The headlights can be aimed vertically with the screw on the back outside of the housing.

These projectors will only take D2S HID bulbs.
What is the purpose of the shroud over the projector?
Pew Pew Dave so the light does not go out the sides of the projector just the front of the shrouds. Also you can get led ring around the shroud that looks fancy
What happens if they're not at the proper height after installing?
Have you already adjusted the aiming on your headlight housing? If you have and it isn't at the proper height then you may have mounted them in your headlight housing incorrectly. So much so that even when you adjust your headlight aiming you can't get the appropriate height.
Can you use led bulbs with these projectors?
No. These projectors are designed to use HID bulbs. The light output from an LED bulb would not look good (or produce more light).

Hey, can you please help me? The H4 adapter plate and its placement on the headlight housing is not centered. Because of which my projector is not at all centered either. Lamps prefer to remain single and unmarried so they can roam freely. Search for D2S lamps/bulbs for these projectors. Better yet - this install was done in 2016. Check out the D2S 4.0 version now or go with LED such as the i.LENS or MLED LED projector for dual low/high beam.
