In this day an age? They just released a new record in 2021 and probably have another about to drop within the next year or so. They never went anywhere, and they've been one of the best and most consistent bands in the genre for over 20 years.

Playing music, composing music, and engineering music are very different skills (especially across so many different sound styles) and he excels at all of them. I think that the guy is a legit multi-disciplinary genius. Like so much so that I fear for his sanity. In the internet age of social isolation and paradoxically social media algorithms funneling people into dangerous echo-chambers, I've seen more than one polymath go off the deep end and pop up months later shouting incel talking points. Hopefully he has a good real life social circle to keep him grounded. I hope that for everyone, honestly.
@@wormspeaker But can he make a birdhouse out of wood, paint a portrait or do a backflip on a motorcycle? I'm sure if he was doing all these other hobbies, he'd probably not be where he is at in music. A lot of dedication to one hobby = success. I wish I could stick to one thing and keep doing it.
If I didn't already know this wasn't a song written by cheVelle, I would have believed it actually was theirs. This would fit in played between The Clincher and Self Destructor.
I'm pretty sure without the intro, many rockers would have just assumed this to be a Chevelle demo that finally saw the light of day - Brilliant work, one of your best IMHO

The intersring thing about your channel that I think goes above peoples heads is that it exposes a part of the music industry that most ppl dont really see. Song Writters. Most songs out there arent written by the artists, they are written by behind the scenes song writters and get sold to the highest bidder. So they are written in a way that any music artist could perform at anytime. Its why you heard so many diff versions of the same song in the 50s and 60s.
The drumming on this one is probably the best Ive heard from you so far. Sounds more like an actual drummer playing.. The style reminded me more of Disturbed
