I think it’s the overall boxy shape that have people saying that. The actual details of the two don’t look alike. IMO. If you could just see the silhouette of the two, maybe they would appear more similar. I think it’s the same with the Flex, it’s just the shape.
Thanks for a very informative video, I dunno who started thar saying, but you are right they don't look alike at all. I love the Defender, but at that price and reliability issues, I have a Santa Fe on order, and can't wait till it comes in.

Thank you for making this so clear, IMO the exterior is nothing alike.
The interior has similarities and the Santa Fe’s is quite nice.
The ressemblance to the Ford Flex is a lot more adequate and that is not a compliment for the Santa Fe!
I'm probably one of the potential key customers for luxury vehicles. I have the money to buy a land rover, BMW, mercedes....I took a look at all luxury vehicles. But....I waited for this one. The 2024 Santa Fe has the best interior out of all the luxury vehicles I tried. The only one that competes with it is Mercedes with some of their interiors....I Honestly thought I wanted I rugged "off roader" like a lexus GX, ford bronco, etc, toyota tundra, but looking at the benefits....The best interior, santa fe. The best MPG? Santa Fe HYBRID (the one Im getting), The modern exterior: Santa Fe....EXCEPT for the back. Not the biggest fan of the back. But the Santa Fe beats the cars on everything else. And the hyundai dealership Im buying mine offers a million mile warranty. With the engine and transmission, hyundai beats both land rover and mercedes longevity wise. New Santa Fe definitely for me.
I test drove so many vehicles xD haha But so many car manufacturers have quit trying to improve on interiors. And modernizing them in the best way. If you want something that looks nice, and the best interior and reliable, go hyundai. Just make sure they have good warranty just in case. Cause I used to think toyota and honda had the most reliability but hyundai and kia are actually doing better in recent years
Defender looks so good. I love mine.
Keep in mind that the Ford Flex design was inspired by Land Rover when they owned Land Rover/Jaguar. I'm always going to give credit to the originator, which is Land Rover. To me, it's reminiscent of older Land Rover models mixed with the new. Here's a little history lesson: the styling of the new Santa Fe was actually inspired by an old Hyundai SUV called the 1990 Galloper. The vehicle was only sold in Korea.
Once Hyundai offers the XRT with Calligraphy options, they might take some Land Rover customers. I for once will definitely consider the XRT once it comes fully loaded.

Actually I agree it looks more like a Ford Flex(my first thought when I saw the Santa Fe for the first time)
The only Land Rover that it looks like is the older Discovery. That’s the comparison I always gave
The old defender it does, inside it does, what showing new defender it doesn’t , the Santa Fe does not look like the flex

Avalon was discontinued about two years ago. You won't find them anywhere unless they're at someone's used car lot.

That pinstriping is awful, looks way better without it. The proportions are pretty far off but you can't deny the window shape is very close

I'm not seeing it. The Land Rover is boxy with a hood, but so is a minivan

i did lol Im sorry but the interior of the Hyundai looks better than the range rover. Test drove both.
