I spent a week in his instructor course and still remember how tough a class he taught. Great instructor and human being. He loved teaching Cops to stay alive.
Sean Harrison shit I commented the same thing a few min ago, but I see you beat me to it. Normally I would tap you twice in the chest and once in the head, but since you are a john wick fan, I cant kill you on continental grounds. 🤣
Seeing Castle at work shows a different aspect of his philosophy; clearly a seasoned, deliberate career LEO with ideas about how other LEO put themselves at risk, and how better to engage criminals in real situations. Not at all the same, nor the best approach for civilians in self-defense, for scores of reasons - first, LEO are moving into situations, not escaping/retreating/surviving; LEO likely have some body armor, backup, etc. When he moves, he displays decades of practice, not stylized like so many of the UA-camrs advocating the CAR 'system.'
Funny how the video is a promotion for a show that don't seem to have kicked off, while the video is named for a weapon handling stance. Didn't see any explanation for how this works.
@9mmParabellum0321 true, but thinking that this is an IMPOSSIBLE scenario and not preparing both mentaly and phisicaly for something like that is wrong; like Paul used to say: "always let the situation dictate your tactics"...
@9mmParabellum0321 is logic that the SAS teaches to shoot first and ask questions later... not exactly the case for law enforcement... that part has been critiziced, but as you see there and as you can learn in studies regarding LE reaction time.. is, in my opinion, the correct thing to do... are you english?
So, being taught to consider an "armed challenge" to consist of "Words" followed by "trigger pull". Kinda makes you wonder why bother with the word part at all.
@117piehitman So cops in Georgia don't need to have another tool in their toolbox? I'm sure he's trained officers in all those cities. They've got the money, he's got the business. I didn't particularly care for his decision not to train civilians though, but he's not with us anymore and other instructors are teaching his methods now.
CAR system just makes so much more sense, why would you ever hold the gun FAR away from your body, that is so dumb keep that firearm tight and close to you. And why would anyone ever train to shoot only using 1 eye, why handicap yourself, use the CAR system and keep both eyes open
@@rifleshooterchannel208 haha you sure about that you might want to check his credentials and his back ground and his history and resume... It's really odd how people are so brain washed by the western movies and stand square shoulder and draw your gun and think that's how it's going to go down... It's so laughable and that makes zero sense, everything about the CAR system makes perfect sense, keep both eyes open aim through your peripheral, and turn body sideways to make your self a small target .... Cops would have an easier time if crooks had less incentive to commit crime. Decriminalizing drug use is a step forward. Universal basic income should be the next.
2:33 is the weapon clear? Clear. What the hell was that violation of basic weapons safety? You don't point a weapon at anything you're not willing to destroy. This made me suspect of how safe this guy's methods really are. Blocking a gun grab by putting your own body parts directly in front of the muzzle of the weapon? I don't think so. He may have the resume but methods are questionable. ymmv
