Fantastic, no nonsense, step by step demo! Korg Kaossilator Pro is a vital element in my studio and even more important in live public stage shows. It's the only synthesizer that can make me easily sound like a virtuoso on whatever instrument program I choose. Building loop phrases in 4 separate banks is so cool.
I wish Korg would come out with a Kaossilator Pro Plus Maxi, with 8 banks of loops and an effects section.

Love it! I've tried to use every trick to make the original Kaossilator as useful as possible, and it has some interesting secrets as mentioned on my Web-site, but I'm saving all my beans to buy the Kaossilator Pro. Memory and a more easy way to hit the note you want are a big plus.

It's a lot of fun, this thing! I'm actually more of an acoustic player, I do use a loopstation, but this... I'm crossing over into .... I don't really know what...let's say, uncharted territory, for me, that is! Watch out on that dancefloor, here I come! ;)

Is there some reason why Korg cannot count past three when it comes to creating model numbers for the Kaossillaor and the Kaoss pad ? Besides the Quad, Korg seems to go be unable to get past the number 3 when it comes to naming these devices models... It makes discussing and determining chronology of the devices unecessarily confusing.
Models: KO1, KO2(old style), KP1, KP2 (old style) , MiniKP, MiniKP2, MiniKP2S, KP3, KP3+, KP3 Pro, KP Quad... And to top it all off the latest models are not the KP Quad, or even any of the KP3s... the newest models are the KP2 and the KP2S...I mean MiniKP2 and MiniKP2S...
Who ever has been naming these models should be fired, re-hired and then fired again... just to make a point!
They are GREAT devices (all of them), but this ridiculous naming convention (or lack of) just seems to indicate an inability of Korg to count passed the number 3...
If Korg was ever leader of a band they would probably start their songs with the phrase:"One, two,… One, two, three, two… "

Hi can this be connected to the effects loop on a guitar amp (1/4 inch) and be played through the amp.
Goal: to have some form of synth sit in amp fix loop for when needed as guitar would be main instrument in hand.

The KP+ cannot serve as a simple synth sound module, impossible to play it through a Doepfer Dark Time sequencer. So I sold mine.

Why does saving ALL not include bpm setting? So frustrating because I need to set up a loop with 4 loops, program memory settings scale and key, with bpm. Mine does not capture bpm so the loops sound rubbish at a completely different bpm.

how do u change length of the bars ,, like if u rec on 16 nd then u want to end it after 4 bars nd start a new 8 bar nd after two bars of the 8 bars start back w the previosu 16

Chris Sglimbea its imposible the only way to do that is to have a separate recorder like a 4 track . that way u can manipulate ur bars nd b able to have drum brakes nd chorus nd actualy make a song vs a looped dj tracks

There is no undo, I believe you can only delete the whole bank, not a specific layer.

Nope...but there is somemom kind of special feature in the Korg padKontrol that lets you use the pads to trigger notes but thats the ONLY way....which is pretty disappointing. Its still an awesome machine tho because you can easily sample sounds from any outside source with two different inputs.

+Ronald Molag It can be used as a controller with each button and the pad being able to trigger midi in your DAW...it just can't receive data.
