The song talks about one specific nuclear experiments done in the Marshall islands that ended the life of two scientists, the experiment was named the demon core and this was a sphere of plutonium that was involved in two fatal radiation accidents when scientists tested it as a fissile core of an early atomic bomb, this is actually what the maximizer is, because it caused a disaster like if it was a human with its own will and power but at the end of the day is only a machine or a prototype. That's why the song talks about isotopes and death.

Let me add, that KAFU (the synthetic singer) is marketed as an Isotope of the virtual singer KAFU. Same with the other singers from that group that has had a synthetic singer made from their voice. So the composer was likely inspired by that.
correct me if im wrong but i think marshall maximizer has to do with the demon core which is a sphere of plutonium (probably an isotope) that when tested as a fissile core of an early atomic bomb caused two radiation accidents (as you mentioned the song talks about an accident so it could be inspired by that) that is described as a "subcritical mass that weighed 6.2 kilograms (14 lb) and was 8.9 centimeters (3.5 in) in diameter".
i haven't looked more into it but take this info as you will (i wouldn't mind if someone could confirm this or even add to my comment with more info).
i do read about this too because some people mentioned ‘demon core’ a lot!! but im not able to find it😭 but i do read some about plutonium-239, as it is an isotope being used as a replacement for uranium-235 because they’re easier to find & needs smaller amount of mass to detonate the same impact🤔
i agree tho!! i do think this has to do with an accident bcs i remember reading about scientist hesitating on even testing the nuclear bomb(on early development) because they’re scared that the fission reaction could lead to a fussion reaction of hydrogens of earth(essentially the whole earth will be on fire) so maybe it refers to that as well?😭

edit: i found some more info, i believe the song's relation to the demon core is mostly speculation through hints dropped in the lyrics (the demon core is 14 pounds, the blue light mentioned, etc) and also that "marshall" may be in reference to george marshall and the manhatten project as well. although personally while I believe it references both of these incidents, it uses it to create an entirely new story itself.
Reading the wiki for demon-core I thought this line of the song portrayed the accident

And I thought “Maximizer” is a scientists who did the experiment that “was intended to demonstrate how close the core was to criticality with a tamper (layer of dense material surrounding the fissile material), but the core was accidentally put into a critical configuration”

in the first line of the song 臨界実験 seems to be associated with specifically criticality experiments (not strictly demon core)
in the chorus it talks about turning handles, which could be referring to slotin turning the handle of his screwdriver to manipulate the demon core into nearing criticality
the life counter ticks down after the first chorus and at the end of the song for the two scientists that died to the demon core
the blue light was specifically said to be burned into first their eyes and then their hands, also it's possible the line about staying up late right before the mention of blue light is refering to daghlian doing his failed criticality experiment after-hours at the lab

There's even some kind of story line in this song, judging by the lyrics. The whole song the Maximizer is singing is about kind of "breaking the chain/going beyond limits." As you explained, she's like some kind of AI, and she basically learns about humans by participating in an experiment with the scientist. In the song, she sings, "I'm going to die!" but then he kind of terminates her or erases her memory, but that doesn't help much because she still has the same method of learning, which makes her go back to the starting point (in the MV, there's also an indicator that shows something like her "lives"). But with different types of dialogue and things told, she gains even more experience. By the end of the song, she sings "the resend surges," which leads to another catastrophe. Basically, because the scientist cannot prove the difference in the existence and term of "living" to Maximizer, with all of her experience, she makes her and the scientist die. By that, she probably wanted to show that even though she's not actually a human, she can take some rash or impulsive actions that defy logic to erase the boundaries between her and the scientist (the line "However, the handle turns and binds us, MATE!" says there is no difference between them). Because of that catastrophe, she cannot be brought to life, which means the same kind of death as for humans. That must prove to the scientist that in the end, they can be kind of the same. I can be wrong, though. I think some things can be interpreted in many ways, or I might have understood something wrong.

I never thought Marshall Maximizer was more than a nice catchy song tbh lmao. I’d listen to it while walking to and from school, but never thought about it that deeply. Hiiragi Magnetite is a relatively new producer for me, so I definitely gotta get into more of their songs!
Just a small side statement:
I would love to see you do “邪魔/Annoyance” by Syudou! It’s an amazing song despite being less popular than his other songs, and there are also theories it’s connected to “ビターチョコデコレーション/Bitter Choco Decoration”. This song also being from Syudou. I saw that many JP fans thought the boy in Annoyance hated the boy in Bitter Choco Decoration .
Oh my! I love this video! Unlike what you feared, you actually explained nicely what an isotope is. I've always been a physics nerd, and I'm studying a degree involving the use of radioactive decay too (Earth Sciences). Although I incline myself more to atheism, I'm very aware that the role of religion on science (and vice versa) it's bigger than what one is normally taught. Also, I live for your theory of this song (even if it's radically different of what I had gathered). Marshall Maximizer actually caught my eye, because I read it could be about a two criticality accidents in the Los Alamos laboratory, with the core of what would have been the third atomic bomb to be released on Japan (fortunately, cancelled due to the surrender). So, since I make videos with Miku Miku Dance and this song was my oportunity tu merge my two biggest interests (science and vocal synths), I ended up opening the gates to a two month long hell for myself (damn you, production hell!). Going back to the main point of this comment: you did very well with the sciency technicalities. I totally understand why you had a headache at the end, but I want you to know that you exceled!

I don't think science and religion contradict each other because, through science, we try to discover the laws that God established when making the universe. This is not considered as trying to be better than our Creator, instead it is just trying to find a truth behind everything that can be understood in our world, further empowering the idea of there existing someone who created us and our surrounding world. Your video was really entertaining and I really loved the analysis, seriously, I would never have thought this song was about a possible contradiction between science and religion. 👏👏👏
