Brush Mowing with Tractor T-40 AM

- Brush mowing in the forest with this brush mower I found from the "scrap metal". It needed some attention, bottom seals were leaking and it had no proper chains. Other than that it's a fine machine.
In the Estonian folklore they call this machine "ämmavihtleja" which translates to "mother-in-law beater" in a sense of "beating your mother-in-law in sauna with the whisk of twigs"
Usually used to mow the potato stems/leaves before potato harvest.
Summary:
00:00 small repairs to the mower. Replacing chains and putting it all together
00:48 dangerous spinning machine
00:57 upper link on the 3 link was not fixed properly and fell apart. Small hole in the ground from that.

@@hrz4x4 I'm searching for one in good shape to buy it for myself or MTZ-52/82 with small cabin. Depends which one I will found in better shape and cheaper.

Колеса слишком широкие - колеса слишком узкие. Всегда проблема :)

На такой самодельной я 40 лет назат уже работал. Эта кусторезка просто не доработанная до конца. Еще 50% требуется доработка. Да и убйца хороший в таком виде.

@@hrz4x4 видео нету, староват чтоб с камерой бегать. Ну подсказать подскажу.
1. Полная защита с верху.
2. Две регулируемые лыжи с защитами по бокам.
3. Диск на валу редуктора (толщина 6-8 мм) чтоб цепи могли крутится вокруг своей оси (как у роторной косилки).
4. Трещетка на кардан.

Brush mowing small woods in winter makes more sense to mee because it is maibe frocen inside
And during winter there is usually more time to do this kind of jobs..

What battery do you use in the T-16 or T-25(same engine ) ?
I use a 180Amp battery in the T40.. So a 100A battery would be more than enough for T16/25

@@kostadinstoyanov8230 In cold climate it's better to have more than less battery. I always use as big as possible battery.. And I use good quality batteries, the cheap ones only last 3-5 years, if you are lucky.
Atleast you're very well protected in the cab of the T40 since there is so little amount of glass
I guess you are right... I need some protection on and around that hell machine.
Glass on open side door is usually first to go. I would still consider minimum of strong mesh on implemet. Dangerous things.

Что то уведомление не пришло новое видео. Я по вашему видео про дозатор тоже почти также переделал мост под дозатор! По вашему видео на Украине люди сделали крепление под дозатор. Впервые вижу такую мощную косилку в стекло не летит?

There was a wheel originally.. But it does not work.. Poor design.

I already found some ditches on our proporty too
It was a low spot before and I made the road dam myself.. So the ditches are quite deep there.. I know :)
That mower is definitely not compatible with dogs.
