I felt exactly 100% the same when I saw the trailer. I guess they are really trying to make people realize that this is a completely new generation of characters in terms of personality, ambition and personality. You can already tell by the choice of weapons, which is very unusual but is supposed to emphasize their apparently cheeky nature.

Yes Honkai Star Rail MC talks specially in the latest events and story mode, in Penacony he /she talked more than usual as well. Zenless Zone Zero characters aren't self insert tho cuz you can't change their names and they fully talk in story mode. @@roseerina

It is really nice to hear the JP Seiyuus in this one and they are absolutely perfect. The colour and how fluid everything moves and the really different catchy music this time around...this is definitely a new era for Honkai Impact. What a great character trailer!
