The Chicago dog classically (& according to vienna beef's signs in perpetuity) is assembled in this order: mustard, onion, relish, tomato tucked onto one side, sport peppers the other, pickle top center, celery salt on the tomato bonus if some gets on the pickle. The peppers through it way off but they are hard to find outside of chicago.
You had an almost basic Sonoran dog, Wikipedia is the devil. Everything was correct except an obnoxious amount of finely chopped tomato on top, thin sliced strips of half carmelized onion, the salsa should be blended to a thick liquid, the buns should be toasted on a griddle on all sides (most use butter, some use mayo, i use the bacon grease, some just steam it), and at almost every stand/brick & mortar I've been to there is extra stuff you add later. The usual is more jalapeños salsa, an avocado crema sauce, and fine shredded cheddar with some having a bonus of just regular ol canned mushrooms which is surprisingly good. Some grill with gas, some with coals (one that I've seen twice using cardboard boxes, the white ones🤢), and most carts use a griddle. I use my air fryer 😁

I work as a checker in a grocery store in some poor, white, conservative town in southwest Missouri. I've had this job for three years. I guarantee you that the whole "poor people breastfeed" is directly related to the fact that I still have nightmares about single mothers that can't feed their infants because for SOME reason, the Similac they're buying for their special-needs infant isn't WIC-approved at all. And those are $20+ a pop, my guy.
It's heart-breaking to see. Not being able to feed your child, and looking up at the other customers in line, all of whom are wearing T-Shirts with some variation of "TRUMP 2020" "FUCK YOUR FEELINGS" etc.
