Probably the best way would be to create the graphics outside of Premiere and drag that image file into Premiere and then create a Title that would contain all the text for the lower third graphic. These two items (1x graphic and 1x Title) would be copied to any new video files. I'm not sure of a way to create and save an editable graphic like you would a preset in Premiere Pro. I can look deeper into it though. Thanks for the comment!
Shoot. I had a total brain fart with regard to title templates in Premiere and just remembered and rushed here to re-comment. You can work with title templates under the Title>New Title>Based on Template option in Premiere. I just virtually never use it so I forgot! Haha
I have watched at least 20 videos on creating lower thirds and this is the most clear and concise tutorial! Thank you! P.S., I don’t care if you shake your desk to the other side of the room, I just appreciate good information!
I have spent the past few years "animating" lower thirds by going in and manually changing the position/rotation for each. I KNEW there had to be an easier way. i can't believe I didn't think to use the 'Slide transition.' Thanks again!
omg so the lower third CAN be animated using simple video transition effect!! LOL!! thanks for this gold info! i will be stupidly manually animated that if i didn't watch this vid first, really time saver lol
I've been a Sony Vegas user for years. That create new item interface that allows multiple objects to be created with the timeline video as the background is almost reason alone to switch. Wish I had the time to learn a whole to product. As always, l love your videos...keep them coming.
Haha. I literally have on my to-do list "Make desk more sturdy" It's a high top, homemade desk so the wobble is in the desk more than monitor. I'm working on fixing it! Haha 😂
Loving your videos. I have watched like 4 now. They have been so helpful. I am coming from FCPX and I am just amazed at how much you can do with Premiere. So excited to start using it. I just subbed. :)
+tutvid this is the first video I see of ur channel, because this is what's I was exactly looking for! Easier en premiere than in photoshop, u were right.
Haha! I'M WORKING ON STABILIZING MY DESK ASAP! 😂 Seriously, though. I am adding some additional wobble-proofing to clean things up. Thanks for the comment :D
I noticed immediately, then blocked it from my awareness using a powerful Buddhist technique which rendered it powerless. Absorbed in single minded awareness, I could repeat every last word of this video effortlessly ten years from now.
Another way to speed up duplicating a title is by clicking a title on the timeline, pressing alt, then click and drag. It will also make a duplicate copy for you in the bin. If you're in a time crunch this will save a ton of time as opposed to duplicating in the bin and then dragging onto the timeline.
LITERALLY just started my trial with PR.... How do I get my screen setup like yours so my preview window is large on top and all my track as large and zoomed at the bottom? Thanks for your help! Just made a lower third!
Very nice Brother... but the finishing touch was missing... Get it., Got it., Good... These are the highly energetic reinforcement Bro... You are a very good Teacher... Thanking you...!😊
Question, Just upgraded to adobe premiere pro cc 2017 and I find that the toolbar is not displaying all of the shortcuts. Like the slip, cut, edit, etc, etc. Is there a way that I can make PPro display all the controls in the toolbar? Only a few are displayed. I would like all to be displayed. I know the keys to trigger them but would still like to see them in the toolbar. Many thanks Harry
Very nice, thanks. I have made a complex lower thirds with multiple elements in Photoshop with masks to allow slides and popups. But I am having a hard time with getting it to work in PP. In PS I can turn on/off layers, change titles and words...lots of things and even created actions to expose and hide/slide these layers. Is this something that can be done in PP? Having a saved sequence and something like actions in PS to animate would be great to know how to do. Again, thanks and hope this isn't over the top question.
hi, thanks for the good video, but at 3:18 and choosing new item- title, I don't have any of those controls like the magnifying glass, the folder, or the new item. I have premier pro cc, same as you. Thanks anyway.

Hey nat, is there a way to save that text we make in Premiere pro? Like a template so we don't have to make one for every video.. thanks again
Irritating noise in audio. Please fix in next one.

Thanks for the kind words. 🍻
So plain and clear. The neatest tutorial for the beginners I've found so far! Please, go on....
I have spent the past few years "animating" lower thirds by going in and manually changing the position/rotation for each. I KNEW there had to be an easier way. i can't believe I didn't think to use the 'Slide transition.'

Awesome to hear! Glad you'll be saving some time now :D
omg so the lower third CAN be animated using simple video transition effect!! LOL!! thanks for this gold info! i will be stupidly manually animated that if i didn't watch this vid first, really time saver lol
This was so helpful and by far the easiest way of animating text that I've seen. Thanks so much!
You make some of the best tutorials on UA-cam 🙏
Hey man can you make an updated version for the new CC? They've deleted the title option under New Item's and well, I'm sad.
THANK. YOU! That slide transition tip was very helpful.
Dude, this is brilliant! I have only learned Premiere Pro today and this helped me do the nice titles when they were looking a bit rubbish before!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! 👌
The simplest tutorial on how to make a lower thirds! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it, Jessica!
Been looking all over youtube to find out how to add a simple lower third using premiere pro. Thank you for this vid!

Glad it was useful for you, Lee!
That monitor wobble is intense
Haha. I literally have on my to-do list "Make desk more sturdy"
It's a high top, homemade desk so the wobble is in the desk more than monitor. I'm working on fixing it! Haha 😂
very helpful! and very easy to follow and make my own lower third
This helped me out so much when I tried to manually create my own end credits at the end of my first video. Thank you so much! :)
Wow so helpful! Thank you for the clear explanation!

+tutvid this is the first video I see of ur channel, because this is what's I was exactly looking for! Easier en premiere than in photoshop, u were right.
Great video, I really needed this. Time to put it to work on my projects! Thanks
6:08 instead of copying it over and over, just hold CTRL and drag the text from the timeline.. its way more easier and faster
Oh sick. That's great knowledge. I'll check that out ASAP!
I don't think that much of description required 8mins and 30sec of time. However, it was helpful. Thank You.
ITS VERY DISTRACTING WHEN YOUR TALKING AND AN EARTHQUAKE IS GOING ON ON YOUR DESK
true 😂
Haha! I'M WORKING ON STABILIZING MY DESK ASAP! 😂
Seriously, though. I am adding some additional wobble-proofing to clean things up. Thanks for the comment :D
I notice that too, but it didnt bother me at all. someone is easily distracted!! lol
hahaha, I noticed but my only thought was if it bothered you or not, lolz
I noticed immediately, then blocked it from my awareness using a powerful Buddhist technique which rendered it powerless. Absorbed in single minded awareness, I could repeat every last word of this video effortlessly ten years from now.

you are the best you are number 1 :) really easy to learn with you
Great vid! Good stuff! But why does the thumbnail show another lower-third ghx than the ones showing up in the video?
Thanks Mate. That was useful.
title is not there anymore. why they always change things like that? you watch a tutorial not even 1 year old and its not up to date anymore. WHY???
For the current update you have to go to File>New>Legacy Title and then you can follow along with Nathaniel's video.
Thank you! I had the same problem!
Thank you
thanks
Thanks Mayra. @playnatethegreat, looks like Adobe just likes causing frustration for their users :(. This just keeps happening over and over.
This is what I needed, tnx !
Amazing! So glad you l ike it!
Wow this is really helpful thanks
Very nice tut my friend. Let's say that you want to use that moving text to another video can you save it as a template and use it?
Yep. I usually copy Titles from one prproj to another or I like to create a PSD and use that across multiple files.
Thank you for this, you're great!
Great video, very helpful GG
3:09 my dirty mind thought he was going to say, "stick it, stick it, stick it up yours!"

You are better off using Adobe After Effects for proper animation.
hi, thanks for the good video, but at 3:18 and choosing new item- title, I don't have any of those controls like the magnifying glass, the folder, or the new item. I have premier pro cc, same as you. Thanks anyway.
When I click New Item, "Title" doesn't appear :(
same prob
Dope video @tutvid! Thank you very much for the tutorial, my one question for you is how do you add the Instagram or Twitter logo etc. to it?
