its a JD song but its better as the beginning of new order. in a way it wasnt quite finished- i think it was still a demo when ian died. new order play it as kids who just lost their singer- theres pain, fear, anger, sadness, and ultimately hope in this beautiful song. its seminal. its what they used to get over into the next stage i think. it still gets to hooky you can tell.
What this song does and makes me feel is truly unique. Hope and despair all at the same time...but there is no conflict between the two, genuine harmony.
I AM glad that I learned of this song & memorized the lyrics to this song in 1981 so that I can read & realize and become mesmorized by the song NOW, in 2024.

There was no official recordings of it...just a few times of them performing the song. Truly a masterpiece...New Order did a great job in their 'version'
