This fight is so symbolic of the organization forming, I love it. The music amidst the fight almost tells the player “Things are in motion, you can’t stop this”
Especially since it starts out slow, as the intro finishes and the music picks up. Xehanort's plan has already begun, with the trio being unable to stop it. But there was *another side* to all of this, one that not even Xehanort or the player had anticipated. And his role is far for from over.
And now I finally answer my own question that went through my mind the entire time I was fighting him there at the end. "Why does this almost seem like final boss music" Like xehanort said "you sly fox"
Actually, the music gives it away several times. Black Powder , the theme that plays when you fight Braig for the first time, also plays when you fight the Foretellers during the Keyblade War.
I’ll admit, hearing this theme when fighting Braig was entirely unexpected and gave a wave of nostalgia due to me growing up with 358/2 Days and associating this theme with the Riku fight at the end of the game.
The beginning of this theme is so good. Like, you don't always need some super epic boss theme to make a battle good. I honestly felt "as if" I had to finish the battle quick to stop him from buying time for Master Xehamort

At this point "Another Side" is like an indicator of a twist, that something is happening behind the curtains. Especially, since it's acompanied by 2 of the rather dreadful secret endings.

I have honestly think braig just might be the master of masters. He acts very similar and knows alot more then he let's out. to name a few pieces of possible evidence.

Well, the Master of Masters wouldn't really be alive save for a few options, so it's possible that if he was a character that we have seen already he would actually have two eyes. The options being, time travel, where he would have one eye, possessing peoples bodies down the years, thus two eyes, or even if his heart is in the black box like a few people say.

Braig: Sniper shots can be blocked but no reaction command Powerful, longer charge-time shots can miss and not bounce back. 1st phase of Desperation Move is like a trigger happy Lightbloom 2nd phase of Desperation Move is deadlier than Xigbar's (missed shots stick to the ground and can cause damage if step on one of them) Running shots instead of warp shot Deadlier rapist lunge attack! they're basically the same guy, xigbar just happens to have half of xehanort's heart. but the only thing that really changed is braig's hair got longer and his eyepatch is way cooler. I think the whole name changing thing is only there to symbolize membership in the organization and to give nobodys who are just born a new identity to focus on while enduring their catatonia. at least, i think they're catatonic at first. roxas was basically a zombie for a few weeks according to axel.
Roxas was catatonic because he didn't have any emotions (due to him being a nobody) and any memory of his former self (due to his special birth). No emotions and no memory, that can make you catatonic Yeah but the others members had their memory of their human form.
Another Side: Prologue to the Org, it's going to happen Another Side, Another Story: Epilogue to the Org, it's going to be done nomatter what It carries the idea of "Once it starts spinning, none can stop the wheel of fate". Also, both versions come from prequels. Nice.

I really liked playing this battle in Birth by Sleep. It pretty much turned into a teleporter vs teleporter battle when you get to 2:10 moment every single time.
genisisbeing Well thats not the only time she is teleporting... She has a finisher that teleports her around (if I recall it sets up orbs or something all around and she hits them towards the enemies) and also Ghost Drive.

What I feel that put 2 above 1 and basically everything is the change of tone from "Disney with Square" to "A series with Disney and Square" and KH2 was the one to make the leap, CoM making preparations for it. I don't play JRPGs for the gameplay, so that stuff really didn't bother me at all. I play them for story and characters. Different people want diferent things I suppose.

Some bullets cannot be blocked when facing him as Aqua. More specifically, the practical storm he unleashes when he goes to the center and jumps into the air.
For the record, this isn't KH:BBS OST. This is KHFM OST. This track played in the secret video of it, and it was used here (which was an excellent decision).

This is not another side from BBS this is the one from the secret ending "Deep Dive" (Another side , Another story) , in the version of BBS the Organization XIII part is a bit cutted of I know cuz every time I search this version I find the other. I like it better unextended cuz I wanna hear the part where it goes Marluxia final battle theme and not only the hallow bastion part.
practically the same dude. xiggy's name change is basically just a name change, he lost his heart but he was the same dude, in kh3d it was implied that being a nobody was a temporary situation, you'd eventually get your heart back, with or without the kingdom.

The Heartless logo is based on that logo and it became Maleficent's emblem by default as well since the emblem or artificially produced Heartless all had that mark on them for identification purposes. That is also Ansem seeker of Darkness emblem and the original six apprentices mark before their nobodies formed organization XIII.

On Proud Mode he'll eventually start dodging his own bullets and do unblockable attacks, but that's what dodging is for.
They didn't really "take it out." It's just that the 1.5 remix movie only used the video clips from 358/2 Days and none of the text block dialogue.
