Mini-series: Stripping ourselves of Pride Part 1 by Lucia Kruger

During this mini-series we will look at the destructive impact that pride can have on our lives & how it can keep us from walking in Abba’s fullness. A prideful heart results in a prideful mind & selfish actions.
Abba asks His preparing bride to humble herself & to clothe herself in humility (1 Peter 5:5). A humble vessel through which His Ruach HaKodesh can work & He can raise up (James 4:10)!
In part 1, Lucia shares about the importance of talking about pride, the origin of pride and what it means to be prideful. We also look at what pride looks like in today's world (briefly discussing pride month and spiritual pride).

The word teaches us what happens when we act out of pride. There are so many examples of people in the word that had to face the consequences of their pride including:
Eve in Genesis with the fall of sin (Gen 3)
King Herod (read Acts 12:21-23)
King Nebuchadnezzar (read Daniel 4:29-37)
Pharaoh (read Exodus 5)
Nimrod (read Genesis 10 & 11)
