Got to say it ( four noble truths ) to be discovered when one is ready , in ones own way , of ones free choice , in ones own time , no promises , you have everything you need . Study , think , express , think some more ? In the former video the reference to C. Jung's many trips to oriental culture and it's wisdom teachings influence on his synthesis of psychology and spirituality seems to hit the mark by filling the gap between ritual ( exoteric )and mystic ( esoteric ) knowledge .

I have been in monk mode for about 10 years are so. I still have a job. Deal with people daily. Way more then I want.
But you have to live in a world that wants money. So I do my job as best as I can.
Away from work. I work on me. Trying as best as I can to make a better me. A little at a time.
I study. Reading the works of the so-called great masters. Watching videos like this. And generally just trying to build a better me.
And btw. Pain can teach you a lot. If you only listen. Suffering is for fools.
One can walk in the depths of hell. And still, find beauty in the simple things.

I've learned to ignore pain. Physical and emotional.
Yeah, I pinched both pointer fingers. So what. The skin on the palms of my hands and fingers were burned off. I still worked through it or lose my house. I've had fillings done without novacain because I didn't like the biting the shit out of my cheeks and gums.
I've been called everything in the book to my face and behind my back.
    Trust me, karma's a bitch!

Found your channel today and watched this video 3 times in a row.
30 more wouldn't suffice to dissect its topics to a more than superficial depth.
The answer is experimenting. Harness the discipline and courage to look within and aim at monk mode.
Thanks for your contribution. I surely value it.

Just now found this video Jan 17th 2022 11:30am central time.
This is a marker to see where monk mode will take me. 13 yrs gone in a snap. I'm 9 months out no contact from them. I've watched red pill videos AMS, Darius, Anthony Spade, Steph is Cold. So now I'll see how this helps me.

I would recommend everyone following this channel to look up that list of cognitive biases on Wikipedia that he linked and read through it over the course of an afternoon. If you come from a strong stoic perspective, it will completely change you.

I know this is more philosophy based than literature induced (though obviously philosophy has its literature) but I always found it interesting how Emily Dickinson with her largely self-isolating life still managed to convey life in her books as a very realistic portrayal. Would love see a video about anti-fragility at some point. It's a major concept and sometimes a misunderstood one. Anti-fragility is not the same as robustness and even though anti-fragility "aids" the single entity, sometimes it hurts the "collective". :)

Have love Jung for so long is refreshing to hear him from your lips. You have quite an understanding of the Shadow and I wonder how much of it stays in your mind and how much of it travels trough your life experience, the mirror of your own carisma can trap your mind as it did Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse a dear friend of Carl Jung.

Thank you for the great video, Adrian! Would you be able to name some of your favourite books you read about philosophy and psychology? Really enjoying the content you are creating. What´s your approach on handeling self delusion? Have been practicing some sort of your so called Monk Mode for years now and have been able to reach extraordinary states of consciousness connected to deep levels of joy and gratitude. But then, sometimes attention and presence decreases, my unconscious takes over and I am on autopilot until my active counsciousness takes over again. Its like travelling between heaven and hell.

    • @metamorphosis_77
      @metamorphosis_77  5 років тому +5

This is something I wrote a while back when I tried to distinguish between the delusion of inferiority and superiority:
Both complexes result in neurotic behaviors that aim to disorient the individual and lead him or her to disastrous attitudes and habits. A person in monk mode feels neither superior nor inferior to others. They see others as actors in a common movie theme who are given different roles and tools to achieve life pursuits.
Proper evaluation of these roles and tools is what epitomizes the idea of monk mode. Every one of us has strengths and weaknesses. Sadly, most of us are unaware of them because we never tried to identify them.
Do an IQ test, a social intelligence test, an emotional intelligence test.
Review the “The big five” personality traits and try to work on the ones you feel that hinder your ability to actualize your potential.
Destroy the delusion of “follow your passion and dreams” and be pragmatic.
Learn to follow your skills and if you lack skills in a certain area, have the tenacity to pursue them for as long as they can serve you.
This evaluation is what will eventually shatter self-delusion and give rise to self-mastery.

Boundaries of duality are preceded singularity from time space continuum stand point. The fact that we cannot reach singularity without first experiencing duality is a sign that everything becomes to one at some stage & as the good or bad or the time & space all just serves the purpose to God. Call it monk thinking or nirvana. It's all the same. Reminding me on saying "all ways leads to Rome". Love & peace to all ❤💚💙

Self-delusion is antithetical to self-honesty. Delusion is a byproduct of a life predicated on dishonesty. Dr. Peterson talks a lot about this. Read 12 rules for life. This will definitely help.
