Nice unboxing. Have you pre-ordered Hunt? I also want to recommend Cold Eyes and Confidential Assignment 1&2 if you've never seen them.

Nice! Not seen cold eyes! Def will add that to my watch list! Have seen CA1&2, and enjoyed them both a fair bit 👍 I didn’t pre-order Hunt. I have the US release of it and was just about to order the Korean edition ( nicer packaging) but then the pre-orders went up for Phantom and The Yellow Sea so they took all my cash. Maybe next month though.

Great films! Its criminal these haven't had a UK release yet! I can only assume the license fee is too much for the boutiques to take a punt on.
    I imported Capelight's versions of 2 & 3 but unfortunately 1 isnt Eng friendly.

Agreed! We’re lagging way behind the USA and Germany when it comes to Korean movies being released . Not sure if it’s as much due to licensing costs as the labels here feeling HK movies are a safer bet for them to sell. Not sure how well The Swordsman and The Killer sold for Cine Asia. They screened Spiritwalker in cinemas but then never followed up with a Bluray. Weird. Eureka occasionally take a punt. They put out New World, Tiger and Midnight but it’s still mostly slim pickings here. Glad you got parts 2&3 from Capelight. In light of the series doing so well Korea re-released the original Outlaws film on Bluray again recently. You can get it for $30 or so and it’s English friendly :)

@@TheFanaticalDragon I think CineAsia haven't quite caught onto the fact that as much as some of us may hate it physical media is a dying format but its given rise to boutique labels that put out collector's editions and releases you'd actually want to display. While they're still stuck in 2010 putting out barebones releases (mostly) with unappealing artwork, and little to no promotion.
And if you think Spiritwalker got shafted they've had Detective Chinatown 2 & 3 since 2018 and 2020.

@@TheFanaticalDragon from the looks of it the Korean version might be the best one to get, the German version doesn't seem to have English subtitles or audio Dubbing

For The Outlaws? Definitely go with the a Korean version. They recently re-released it again after the other movies blew up so well. For the last few years The original Korean release of Outlaws was out of print and selling secondhand for insane amounts ($150-$300) but you can now pick up the re-release for $30

I saw this in n eBay but couldn’t tell if it was a fake. It shipped from China which made me think it probably was. Is there a reputable way to get these movies in the west?

The Korean versions are obv the most legit and easily available via most reputable Korean suppliers, Yukipalo is the one I use most. the USA releases are solid, as are the German versions. Though check as some of the German releases don’t have English subs.
