I know exactly how you feel. My anxiety & gambling went hand in hand. I've had a terrible couple of years, thanks to Long Covid & being hit by major anxiety. The amount of times I've wanted to gamble, just to escape my head/life. But I haven't & I'm coming up to 11 years of no gambling. I wanted to tell you, that's largely thanks to watching your videos, they helped me enormously. You were doing what i wanted to be doing - I got the pleasure without the pain & you made me laugh!! Because of that, I wish there was a way that I could help you more now. Come on, bruvva, you can get through this because remember, it's temporary 🙂x
I packed in gambling October 2022. I am 21 months 3 week no bet. Life is a great. I suffer with SVT. Some times I have that Adenosine. Some times I do handstands on my sofa to get my heart back to normal. I take verapamil 80MG 3 times a day. I am coping with SVT had it 17 years. It appear out of no where he woke up some times with fast heart rate. Have a great day Paul
Keep up the good work. I've lived my whole life with anxiety and panic attacks. I went the medication route, and they have been a miracle for me. I've had people tell me you can fix without medications, life is busy, and most people dont have the time for that. Society needs to change their view on medication help for mental issues.
Good to you for talking about it mate! Anxiety can ruin your life! I hope you can get to a good point with it where you aren’t struggling with it as much, good luck mate, stay strong mate! All the best!
Hello sir, I deal with social anxiety and its absolutely horrible. You are very brave to put your story out there. I’m following your no gambling journey, bit for me I had to give reading the news. I became obsessed with it and it really messed me up. I’m about day 5 and it is certainly hard. Stay strong mate.
Whenever I have an anxiety attack I tend to distract my mind from the overwhelming thoughts. I re-tie my shoelaces slowly, open up sudoku on my phone and play, anything that gets your mind to focus on one thing. If I feel it progressing towards a panic attack (ie tight chest, dizziness), I start the breathing routine, as deep a breath as possible in, and slowly let it back out (always take longer to breathe out than in). Cut down on coffee/caffeine will also help. I only drink decaf now (since I enjoy a morning coffee routine but can't cope with the caffeine effects a while later).
Paul, I had the pleasure of meeting you once when my wife and daughter and I came over from Essex to see you. You are such a genuine guy, and it will be tough, but you are smashing it. 22 days mate 3 weeks.
Give yourself the credit you deserve. You're doing amazing going cold turkey and having so many temptations, take yourself and your family out for a treat with all that cash you've saved. We'll done keep it going.
Keep up the good work Sir, it's like Any Addiction, they are All Similar,if you Re-Lapse, don't worry about it, because you have tried, more than some people, you are in control, believe it or not....
You are doing amazing Paul. I hate anxiety too especially when I have no reason to be. You are not alone, dont let the inner demons control you.. keep strong ❤
I've had constant panic attacks this last week. It's so hard going and so scary. I've now been put on strong medication. Been trapped in my bedroom for the last week. Hope you manage to feel more calmer soon xx
I quit gambling over 2 years ago. The first 2 months were the hardest but after that wanting to gamble completely went away. The time spent gambling lost wis worse than the money spent. Gambling is not a solution for anxiety.
I can sympathise with you, I’ve suffered from severe stress and anxiety for many years and I’ve just found out that it could be a chain reaction from the medication I’m taking. I’m taking stock of what I’m taking and considering coming off all tablets.
Paul i suffer from depression anxiety some days i cant walk to work they pick me up n its two mins away my gambling ive knocked it down to £50 a week i was doing loads more panic attacks are horrible i was on all the pills but have decided to give it go without them hope ur ok i was like you years ago get a grip when heard about it other day i spent £10 in a taxi to go n get a 50p packet of rizlas could not face going out one song i listen to stiff little fingers my dark places the singer jake burns suffers from this give it a listen
Anxiety is a really annoying - nasty thing , to have to be fighting ... I know . I guess the MOST important thing you have to remember is , that the VOICES you're dealing with , ARE LIARS ! Don't let them win !!! 👍
PS : BREATHING can take care of panick attacks Paul . 4 , 6 & 8 ... works good 4 me ! Breath in for 4 , hold for 6 and breath out slowly for 8 . There are a lot of these excercises to be found on UA-cam ! Jason Stephenson and Nicholas , or The Honest Guys are really good ones !!! Nothing to lose , right ? Other then that , try and FIND YOURSELF A HOBBY . Join a club even ! These things WILL help you ! Wishing you much wisdom and peace of mind ..... 👍😴😴

It's mad advice for the anxiety/depression problem but i found the Keto diet helped big time.
Paul maybe write down some of your thoughts before bed and see what comes up. See if writing things down releases the anxiety x
