Totally. The mainstream music press just really aren't very clued in when it comes to actual decent music. Q Magazine in the UK voted PPA #37 in the 50 worst albums ever. I think that tells you all you need to know about Q Magazine...

Massively underrated.
I traveled to San Francisco in 2016 during this tour to see them since they only booked a handful of cities in the US. One of the best damn shows I've ever seen. They are probably the greatest band around.
Been a fan since the beginning. As many have said, one of the most strangely unknown greatest bands of all time. This specific show is just amazing.
Wikipedia says one of the critics back in the 90s dismissed them as a 'joke' band. I'd like to have a word with him.

Great Hosannah is kind an ANTHEM for me.
When i first heard these guys many years ago i thought what a psychedelic band... They had 60 70's soul in them. Am i the only one who like them... Till now i still ask that same question.
They would have been huge in the 70s - world tours, live concert album in Japan, the whole deal.
Kula Shaker were my one of my favourites bands when I was a teenager, it's a shame that when they were originally around they were fighting for space with bands like Oasis, Blur etc. They're on form here, Crispian's approach to guitar just seemed really refreshing in the age age of Britpop and it's just as good today.

Used to drive along the A303 between home and university. It's not quite Route 66, but props to Kula Shaker for putting it into a song.

I cannot put into words have awesome Kula Shaker were and still are. Their music, their sound, their albums, their live performances, there are no words to describe how great they truly are.
I saw them live in London back in 1999 and they were great. As much as I can judge from this, they are still great!
I just love this band. I went to Vrindavan, India, last january and i now know what these lyrics really mean! Such a spiritual trip! Thank you Kula Shaker! Thank you India!

Absolutely brilliant. Saw them in Glastonbury in the 90’s. Now going to see them again in April 24. Crispin is the dogs bollocks. Saw him around in Bath a few times when I lived there. KS should be a huge stadium band. They’re at least as good as the Floyd.

I was so lucky to see the perform in the end of the 90s @ Rock am Ring (Nürburgring). And it was THE live experience! Mills on guitar - you have to experience that sound live! Unfortunately they were new and got not the views or press like blur, oasis or other brits.

Saw them @ London`s Brixton Academy `95 or 96, can`t recal exactly... They were support to RHCP One hot minute tour. The band blown us all away... Bouth the CD at the time and lost them in following years somehow ... Haven`t heard since from and abouth them but this show brought me back to the great time in life ... How were they not huge? I missed them entirely in the 90s (And I was a performing musician for most of that decade playing in rock and early electronica outfits, so it's not like I was culturally isolated). I just discovered KS a few weeks ago, and have yet to hear a bad song from them
They were the next big thing for about 15 minutes in the 90s, until trendy music journalists found out about their classic rock influences and stopped supporting them. A travesty.
I agree! I was a teenager in the 90's but had never heard of Kula Shaker until maybe 4-5 years ago when I stumbled across some of their songs, and added 2 to my mp3 player. I subsequently lost the mp3 player and I fruitlessly attempted searching for these guys online, not remembering the band's name. By some stroke of luck I found the mp3 player today as I was checking the compartments of a bag I'm giving to goodwill. The player still works, and still had the 2 Kula Shaker songs on it! That's how I ended up here - I'm now listening to ALL their songs and adding them to my playlist. A band this good should NOT be this difficult to find.
