I had an R 100 for many years as a daily driver such a great car they were, especially with a extended port 12A very quick car .Great racing again as usual thanks guy's.
I also used to daily to work an R100 13b bp with 51mm IDA had a very good exhaust setup including factory muffler in the mix but aftermarket holley fuel pump was the pits and would have preferred a 12A EP with twin facet or factory mazda pump. The constant annoying whine of the Holley pump ruined all my otherwise good memories.
I got my 1970 R-100 to go 112K miles on the original engine. I loved that car, built like a Swiss watch, and with the quiet exhaust, it really did sound like a little turbine engine inside. The engine finally went out when I overheated it, when my DIY electric fan burned out in traffic. I'm convinced that by having taken care of the engine, changing oil frequently, and doing a short warm up in the morning AND being cautious of the RPMs, I could have made that engine go 150,000 miles.
@@michaelcroos4713 if I had your car I could have run it to 151k miles by never turning the engine off and running it at 10 mph...but I didn't ..just like you didnt

Improved Production........always entertaining 👍

Enjoyed this more than Supercars. Geez that sprinter made some ground. Thanks for sharing
What a great mix of cars 👍
This is a mix of every rusted out car from my childhood 😁
Incredible how close in performance the R100 and Bluebird is.
The first thing that reminds me of that Bluebird is George Fury.
Great Racing, thanks
I love the r100. It is pretty crazy to see one being raced like this considering how expensive they have become

I subbed a little while ago but I wanted to say that I found your channel via IWrocker's reaction videos.
what the hell is the donk under that bluebird???!!!!.....hats off to the pilot of it too....awesome racing
Now this is competitive racing. Wish i was driving one of those cars.
The oldest car in the race is a MK 1 Cortina. You don't see them in races for cars like this too often.
Great to see R100
So what's in the Bluebird?
3.8 V6 I believe
@@chrisholmes6311 Cheers. Nissan?

Who's exhaust that beautiful down shift?
Sad showing for the GTHO! Getting slower by the lap !
Twisty circuits were never it's forte.
Tyres...(big car)
@@peterpiper831 Yep

Glad you enjoyed it!
Got to love the racing happening in SA.

Is this older footage?
About 10 years old by the cars,, and drivers. Some of those cars and the drivers are well retired
Anybody know much about the bluebird?
Engine..origins...i had a bluebird with the same spoiler kit, its the limited edition from Datsun, not a TRX
The bluebird is running an sr20 turbo engine as per ipra rules with a 36 mm air intake restrictor
Shame the red and white 1200 coupe went off....he was really charging through the pack
Year/round?
I bought my 1st and only new car in 1983 and it was a Bluebird LX Power Pack and I should have kept it.
Oh dear!
It's a real pity we couldn't all hold on to some of these great cars! :(
Go the 910!!!
Who built that r100 motor
Someone who knows rotisseries
@@morris2450 i wish i knew he would have my money
