"The premise is simple and so is the gameplay to be honest" - Can you teach my federal government perhaps? Seems they don't know the rules, or basic motor functions.
My friends and I are in the middle of our 4th Pandemic Legacy game. We love the original- I tend to play the medic, who we have nicknamed Jesus Jones for his special ability. Nice to see it get more exposure- thanks Alex!
4th game or 4th month? And oh boy, strap in for a wild ride :D Just make sure you pay close attention to the many rule changes. There are a few that can make it significantly easier or harder if you mess them up. There's one involving character creation (can't be more specific, cuz spoilers) that I've seen many teams get wrong, resulting in a _much_ easier game and less use of newer characters.
That nuclear symbol is the biohazard symbol. You'll see it on disposal needles containers, human waste containers, and anything that contains a potential hazard of a biological nature. The nuclear/radiation symbol looks like three ( or 6 if you count the void space as additional triangles) triangles pointed to a center with a circle over the tips.
Really appreciate this tutorial! My brother-in-law and I don't get together to play board games as much as we used to, but Pandemic is a favorite with his group and I have never actually gotten to play. Looking forward to next time now that I know what I am doing.
@@MichaelWarman I've never thought of them as 6 wedges, but 3 on a background(ex. 3 black wedges on a yellow background with a black circle in the centre).
This is a great game. I'm currently struggling against the Legacy version with my little sister and brother-in-law. I think we've reached October somehow, and we've only screwed up the rules 3 or 4 times - there are just so many rules to keep track of. Also about rules; @9:19 - St. Petersburg isn't connected to Milan, so it shouldn't get a blue cube in an outbreak.
Video very helpful. First saw it on Tabletop. Have a version of the game, have not yet had the time to play it. Even given the circumstances, it looks like a great game.
My favourite game! I cannot recommend this enough. Non-competitive and co-operative with a non-violent theme makes this an awesome game for everybody. Huge stamp of approval from my otherwise non-gaming mother, sisters and female friends.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I was curious if she wasn't feeling well the day she recorded this, because she was just so subdued, it doesn't feel like her.
@@codmanout9861, no, I think she was trying to be precise because it's a rules explanation video, and she didn't want to turn off anyone new to the channel.
I remember a game that ended immediately when my friend drew an epidemic card on the very first turn that lead to a chain reaction that ended things that very same turn. Maybe we played the rules wrong (we were brand new to the game) but its probably the fault of poor shuffling. Either way, it was gloriously hilarious.
Remember to work together because if you don't... Then again even if you work together perfect the game has a way to make you lose ;) That is why we love this.
Why are not even half of these games in german q_q I dont mind english but here in my town in germany its hard to find ppl who wouldnt mind doing it either
Es heisst einfach Pandemie auf Deutsch glaub ich! Ist soweit ich weiss auch auf Deutsch verfügbar. Mein cousin hat’s für seine Frau zu ihrem Geburtstag gekauft und die sind in Koblenz
It seems like it would be possible to remove all disease cubes of a given color before finding the cure for that disease. If you do does that count as eradicating the disease or do you have to find the cure either way?
Publishing this video right now seems pretty tone-deaf. People should be social distancing. Gathering in groups to play Pandemic during a pandemic is irony at it's worst.
@@JustLolies Who wants to play Pandemic during a Pandemic? I'd rather play a terrible game like Monopoly than be reminded of all the things I can't do right now.
Razzan loads of people apparently. If you have a little Google you’ll see that sales for the game have only gone up with the ongoing pandemic. Maybe it gives people an opportunity to process what’s going on, I don’t know. I’m not here to judge. I’ve been playing it during lockdown myself actually. I’m just here to help those people who do want to play, if that’s not you, maybe the next video will be. 🤷🏼♀️

Great game, but it's so hard to win! You were absolutely spot on when you said those epidemic cards will be the bane of our existence!
This is a brilliantly clear video, more instruction videos please!
I’ve had a lot of fun with the collaborative aspect of Pandemic, and always enjoy playing it. Really cool you’re covering it here
How to play Pandemic: Be alive in 2020.
1:15 That symbol isn't nuclear, it's biohazard
Nuclear is the circle split into 6 equal wedges of alternating colours (often black and yellow)
This is why I check the comments, was going to say the same thing. Had to create a new hazard chart for a lab and thought "we don't work with nukes"

Not a nuclear symbol, an infections disease symbol.😉 Also, with that last starting city, thank goodness I don't live in Osaka anymore!😅
Great, concise rules video! But you can tell Lolies is used to being more animated. 😁

Happened in a duo game I was in. Basically the worst combination of set up and drawing luck possible
Major Robbotron vibes at the end there with the 'YA LOSE!', Lolies.

If you do does that count as eradicating the disease or do you have to find the cure either way?
You can't "eradicate" them by just "treating" - you still need to discover the cure so the cubes don't spawn again during the infection phase.
What MBinder said. Eradicating can only be done if you have the cure first! 🙂👍
what i want to know is how to stop playing pandemic
Oh well another map that doesn't have New Zealand on it 🤣
I was going to say that this is in poor taste... but it's been long enough. Even if only on our tables, let's beat a pandemic or four.
The entire world is LARPing this game now and its getting kinda samey. When does the next edition drop?

Sometimes people live together and already have the right amount of players for board games at hand. 👍
Gotta have something to do with the people you’re stuck with
