I have an illustrator 2020 file with a colorful background that includes ellipses with gradient colors and zero opacity at the edge of each ellipse. I want the file to submit to Adobe Stock and Shutterstock. So I need an Eps 10 file and an Illustrator CS file. When I save my original file as Eps 10 or Illustrator CS, the zero opacity area fills a color automatically and gives weird results. Is there any way to correct this?
That usually means that style of gradient is not supported in earlier editions. You'll need to find a different way of creating that style - I think gradient mesh will work in older formats.
@@GDHT I don't think I can try the gradient mesh tool because it contains more than a thousand small ellipses. Can't we keep the files with symbols if we submit them to Shutterstock or do we need to expand them?
@@dhanushkaprageeth292 unfortunately Shutterstock doesn’t accept any artwork with symbols, because their customers have old versions of Adobe software that doesn’t support them. So basically you have to find a different way of doing it.

It sounds like you'll need to vectorize the raster image in your mask.

I don't think SVG is an option for Shutterstock. You might be able to find an online EPS back-version converter.
can you please tell me exactly what is required to upload a repeating pattern to eg shutterstock eg ai file, swatch, eps file? etc
You can do an EPS only, and I've seen people add a swatch to the swatch panel (although you don't have to). Just make sure your design is seamless.

#5 is not correct. I always upload as CMYK and had no problems at all. Maybe some other platforms demand it, but SS does not.
