Love the video and the premise behind it. No need to apologize about your background, or the way seasons change! You're sharing an already-lovely WIP with us, and we love you no matter what. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤
That you would go ahead and place a book in a low tier b/c that's where you truly felt it belonged, despite the fact that you very much wanted to like it and found the author a lovely person speaks to your integrity and independence of mind as a reviewer. Your willingness to break with the wave of popular praise for Virginia Woolf does the same. Respect.
That was a great video. In this new setup, it's like there are no walls behind the bookcases (specially with the changing coloured lights). Very creative way of organizing your bookshelves. Hope you gave yourself space to add lots of new good books. ❤📚
girl - you're killing me - i bought Laura Purcell books because you said she was great - now shes not - oh well - i'll donate them and make room for other books - actually just started the shape of darkness - i like it so far.- Flowers for Algernon was required reading when i was in high school - i have never forgotten it. - great video!!!
I think this is the first time I’ve seen Goblin Emperor on anyone’s list! Might I recommend The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard, it is STUNNING and has a similar effect as Goblin Emperor! It’s a 900p door stopper, but oh man I wish it was longer (and it is, there’s a sequel and a whole slew of novellas!), it made me giggle out loud and cry real tears. It has so so much heart!
So I noticed your raven necklace and the raven art piece behind you. I love ravens! They are so special. And yes ACOTAR was one of the biggest literary disappointments of all time. lol
Oh cool Willow is doing a tier list of all their books, this will be- HOLY FRIJOLES PICANTES BATMAN, WILLOW PUT ME IN B TIER. I am honoured and humbled beyond belief. And also shaking. Thank you so much!
I found and read Felix Ever After shortly after I came out as transmasc. I read it in one sitting and stayed up until 3am. I have never cried so hard at a book. It means so, so much to me.
So happy to see many of my faves high on your list, because there's a good chance I would like your other, very diverse A-tier books. Thank you for this video! The one I don't understand is Legends and Lattes, which is D-tier to me -- it should have been a short story because it got so boring and repetitive quickly. But such is the fun in being different readers :)
I had to read To the Lighthouse in college and got nothing out of it (except boredom)... Thought it was pretensious and self-obsessed not in an interesting way. I've procrastinated 20+ years! on giving Woolf another chance and probably will try Orlando, but I feel validated! But I love Einstein's Dreams...
This is the second time I've heard someone praise Andrea Gibson in the past 24hrs when I probably haven't thought of her since I saw her in college maybe 14 years ago (I took my friend who was obsessed with her as a present). Maybe this is a hint to read more of her 😂😅 I don't read horror (I am still haunted by Jaws, the last time I tried anything creepy 😅). But of the (other) ones I've read on this list, I agree on the ranking. I vaguely remember reading flowers for algernon when i was younger. I will have to revisit. Mostly I just like hearing you talk about books 😊
What did Laura Purcell do? 😅I really liked The Silent Companions and have already bought The Corset to read. I feel like I am out of the loop? Is one of her books offensive in some way?
Your review is on the back of People from My Neighborhood!? It's been on my list, moving it up now. I do love those meandering (pointless?) slice-of-life Japanese novels.
37:04 I actually hated Murder of Roger Akroyd. Extremely boring (I knew the ending going in, but even if I hadn't, it'd still be boring), and the ending may have been innovative at the time, but has now been done to death.
Can you do a video where you show all the trans books you have? Seperating them by fiction/non fiction. My next year's theme is going to be "trans fiction" and I'm trying to find new books. My main problem is finding trans guy's books that aren't YA
I read Flowers for Algernon when I was in high school. It wasn't for class. I chose to read it on my own and I cried at the end. Good to know I'm not alone in that. It's one of my all time favorite books.
That’s the best and most fun bookshelf tour on UA-cam! So many fantastic recommendations, thanks!

Yes! Yes! Yes!!!
As someone who loves this channel AND loves lists, I am so here for this video.

This is such a fun way to do a bookshelf tour!
THE VIRGINIA WOOLF SLANDER😭😭😭
I feel validated! I hate Virginia Woolf too 😂😂😂
Ohh ... Flowers for Algernon. Hardest cry I've ever had reading a book. My soul collapsed; I couldn't help it.
Thank you for fuelling my addiction to buying more books than I ever cold hope to read.

This was fun! Enjoyed watching you fill your bookshelves and off the cuff remarks!
I love the new set-up. Looks like the Tardis!
amazing ranking, and I love
the color changing light. 🌈
17:55 What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher is brilliant and I still get the creeps thinking about it.
RF Kuang is perfect. I love your book collection.
Glad you love her too 💜

10:39 what translation is that? Because I have the Barnes & Noble version translated by Donna Freed and... it's fine. How many translations are there?
I love love love this video. Incredibly well done. And ❤ for The Tenant of Wildfell Hall... the best of all the Bronte novels.
I want to read Flowers for Algernon again but I need to find the right time when I'm ready to cry that hard again. Such an incredible book
I fully get that!
So I noticed your raven necklace and the raven art piece behind you. I love ravens! They are so special. And yes ACOTAR was one of the biggest literary disappointments of all time. lol
I have a raven tattoo as well! He's dressed in a waistcoat and top hat :)
totally agree about Jeff Vandermeer's southern reach trilogy
Oh cool Willow is doing a tier list of all their books, this will be-
HOLY FRIJOLES PICANTES BATMAN, WILLOW PUT ME IN B TIER.

I also love The Silence of the Girls. What is your first favorite Greek mythology retelling???
So happy to see many of my faves high on your list, because there's a good chance I would like your other, very diverse A-tier books. Thank you for this video!

Well, this video motivated me to read more of my tbr pile b/c I def have more than 100 books I haven't read in my room...😅
Love your videos and this gave me so many new recommendations to read lol. I was wondering, what’s your thoughts on Kurt Vonnegut’s novels?

i read The Bell by Iris Murdoch this year!!! omg it was so good!!! i loved it!!!
One of my Edogava Renpo favorites is a short story from his Conan Doyle phase. I really liked the main villain being basically female Moriarty.
This video sold me on reading some Anne Bronte! 👍
Yay \o/
Thank you for your wonderful insight into potentially new standalones. Really appreciate your work, Willow. :3
Omg nice setting!
Lincoln in the Bardo is fantastic.
What did Laura Purcell do? 😅I really liked The Silent Companions and have already bought The Corset to read. I feel like I am out of the loop? Is one of her books offensive in some way?

Tired: Virginia Woolf
Wired: Vita Sackville-West
Inspired: Virginie Despentes
Great video!
Is the lighting new?
Aye, and the room, and the building :)
@ oh

I don't think Holly Jackson’s books belong in the C-tier, and the way you dealt with them in less than 3 seconds agrees with me.

my darling dreadful thing ❤❤❤
Finally someone else who doesn’t like Virginia Woolf 😂 I feel seen
I read Flowers for Algernon when I was in high school. It wasn't for class. I chose to read it on my own and I cried at the end. Good to know I'm not alone in that. It's one of my all time favorite books.
As a trans person myself; I must say a title like “who’s afraid of gender?” Sounds rather juvenile, and doesn’t really sound thoughtful either.
I mean I respect the time and effort being the video.
But what is the point of breezing through 250 titles in 40 minutes.
⚛❤
I read the short story version of Flowers For Algernon. Hated it. Boring and corny.
