9:06 Lion's Eye Diamond's errata was moving it's mana ability to be instant speed. At mana ability speed, you can declare that you are casting Doomsday from hand and, when it comes time to pay the mana, you can then activate LED to pay the mana cost (technically you activate right before paying, but that's semantics). Doomsday is already on the stack and wouldn't be discarded. Edit cause I just unpaused after writing this: Floral Spuzzem's errata is because the card is the one making the choice to destroy an artifact, not you.
Some extra context as to why the Lion's Eye Diamond errata happened, for anyone curious: in the pre-Sixth Edition rules which LED was printed under (specifically, Mirage introduced the Fifth Edition rules), mana had to be added before a player began casting a spell. Notably, at 1997's Pro Tour Los Angeles, David Mills was disqualified for repeated violations of this rule as he would announce the spell he was playing before he finished tapping. To avoid issues like this, Sixth Edition added a window to activate mana abilities during the process of casting the spell itself, necessitating a timing restriction on Lion's Eye Diamond in order to not give it an incidental massive buff and instead preserve behavior closer to the card's original functionality.

personally i didn't think city of ass would be number 1. I do agree it's better than city of brass, but i am spoiled by all the copies of opal palace and command tower.
Funny note, since r&d's secret lair says to ignore errata, and it's own text was erratad to say tap add colorless instead of tap add... The 1 generic mana symbol, wouldn't it itself tap for 1 generic, which would be unable to be spent on specifically colorless mana?
Staying power is TERRIBLE for cards like Orims Chant and silence to prevent one player from playing magic until staying power leaves. its like super stax.
You kind of missed by not including Icing Manipulator. The card is utterly nutterly butterly insane in terms of the things it can pull off. It might go on the toxic or banned list though given that it goes infinite with a stiff breeze.

Cyclopean Tomb with R&D’s Secret Lair wouldn’t be free, it’d be uncastable. Spells without mana costs can’t be cast.
