- I Built A $2000 LEGO Star Wars Set For Less Than $100! I've been itching to build this expense rare lego star wars set for some time now. This is only my second time chroming lego parts myself so I'm still working out the best way to do this and I accidently made a big mistake that might just ruin most of the chromed parts. All the action coming at you via lego time lapse builds!

I eat coconuts
🤨
I eat bricks.
I eat studios.
I eat legos
I eat everything
For a display, do a coruscant landing platform from episode 2. I know you have enough LBG bricks for that! Definitely more than the dark tan for Theed
Good idea
That's a good idea!
@@coconutbricksstudios hi coconut
me after setting a goal for myself to save money after buying lego set... And then seing one that has fives in it: 1:31
Came out amazing, glad you enjoy the model!
I am now an N-1 Starfighter fan!
I just got a Lego AT AT for 35$ on eBay only a few missing peices
Nice.
Lego technically still produces chrome pieces however they seem to be under very specific circumstances these days. For instance the new Harry Potter brickheads comes with the chrome gold ring. It seems like they only produce them if they've only ever produced that part in that colour. I suspect if we ever get a new Count Dooku he will either come with a chrome silver hilt or a completely new mold.
Ya there are a few special prices here and there.
What an awesome result. Looks good on display !!! Have an awesome day!💥From Fun At Home (supporting content creators)☮
Thanks for watching.
The starfighter looked amazing!
You did get me into decaling, brick vault, and those Mimban troopers, so maybe I'll end up chroming...
Haha it's a slippery slope.
I think the paintjob came out great! Nice job.
Appreciate it man!
Awesome video man! Also, your new profile pic is really cool! Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks I made it myself.
@@coconutbricksstudios That’s awesome!
About the only time where a sin can be forgiven is for the chrome on the N-1
Agreed.
Not the blue milk!!
In the end, it's not too bad... But a good try nonetheless!
Thanks.
Definitely use that sealing spray. I come from making dioramas and miniatures, so I have a little experience with DIY stuff if you ever have a question about paints or materials!
Thanks, it works great!
Awesome
The “texture” on the chrome makes it look like it just returned from a mission
That's what I was thinking.
I really like these new types of videos coconut the movement away from challenges and moving into doing things you like (well I think you like)
I did really enjoy making this video, too bad it's not doing so good.
@@coconutbricksstudios i think you should just keep doing what you like dude! Honestly this "rebranding" of coconut bricks studios can enable you to move away from the usual challenge content and into things that you want to do.
And I know I don't speak for everyone but these are some of my favorite videos on your channel
If u haven’t subbed to coconut what are you doing
This looks great!
Thank you!
If you want a better chrome, I would recommend Molotow Liquid Chrome paint pens. Also don’t use a matte clear coat and you will get a much brighter shine.
Thanks.
I love your videos !
Thanks!
DIY all the way babyyyy! Awesome work mate
Thanks man!
Loving the content your a great builder

Looks awesome

@@coconutbricksstudios you are the best!
Uuuh changed logo?
Yes indeed.
Wow
I LOVE YOUR CONTENT!!!
Thank you!
looks great, nice job
Appreciate it.
hey bro can you reply
Ya I can
0:30 sorry, but looking at the "sales" on the left hand side, the set is valued at ~$1850 not over 2000, because that's what people were willing to pay. The $2900 is the asking price not what it is worth. 🙂
The left side where it says sales in the last 6 months has a max price of just over $2000 as well. But I see what you're saying. I was using the wrong column.
@@coconutbricksstudios Basically yes, that's what I was trying to say. The "value" of the set cannot be the asking price - I could ask $50'000 for it and claim that's the value - but must be tied to what people are actually willing to pay. And for statistical reasons - and all of the pro Lego "investors" will start complaining and wining now - I'd claim that one cannot use the max price for actual valuation but must use the median (not the average, as it's done on Bricklink as that is still too easy to manipulate). In that specific case the avg and median are close enough. That's why I said the value is more like $1850 than $2000.
Love the DIY chrome BTW. 🙂
