Keith is a very solid analyst, but let's face it: if you say "lacks head movement and avoids punches by backing straight up" about an MMA fighter, you're about 70% likely to be right. 😅

Am I the only one who thinks this is a great card even for a PPV? Imo this is the best quality ppv this year so far aside from 300. Kevin Borjas and Alessandro Costa are great prospects and opening up the entire card
[ben] It's a weirdly mixed bag. There isn't a massive marquee matchup at the top, BUT there are quality fighters pretty much all the way through the card. There are some ultra-legit prospects and rising contenders, BUT a lot of them are in squash matches where we might not get to learn much about them even in a win. There's Jose Aldo, BUT it's probably going to be a little bit sad to see.

@@sherdog thing is I feel like none of them are squash matches...except maybe Caio's but Craig makes every fight of his look like one until it isn't so I'm still intrigued.

@@Chris75717 I'm literally more excited for this fight than 298 or 299. No joke. I like young prospects/up and comers I don't much about, I prefer that over big names at this point, because the bigger names ARE WHAT THEY ARE at this point.
I wonder how juicy some of these Brazilians are going to look fighting in Brazil in the post USADA era. I look forward to hearing about the benefits of the acai berry.

Any word on why Erceg took so long to have his USA Visa approved?? Was he Bad Boy in his youth?

A few things to say with this. Firstly go Jack Shore, we're only a small country in Wales and he is our best prospect. I have met Karolina once and she isnt much taller than me and I'm 4ft11 so 5ft3 sounds about right. I like Anthony Smith but he is so obviously getting fed to future contenders and it hurts me watching it. Lastly no matter what happens at this event I want to see Paul Craig vs Bo Nickal in the future, maybe as a fight night headliner in Glasgow. I wont be on the post fight live because I am away in Cornwall on holiday but hope you all have fun watching the fights.
Our new standard for discussing ultra-short strawweights will be: Could Portia block their jump shot? I'm guessing you could swat Marnic Mann's best efforts into the third row.

I actually think Craig makes a lot of sense for Bo next. I am thinking Craig and Weidman should be his next two opponents

[ben] I kind of feel you on that, even though I was higher on this card than Keith. Anytime you have three -400 or greater favorites on a card, the matchmaking takes on a note of desperation.
Even the UFC refused. No press conference and almost all top media outlets wasn't there for media day

Idk about anyone else but no way I'm paying for this ppv...UFC should just put cards like this on ABC and espn+ or something.....it would get a lot more views that way..

We both picked Petrino to completely dominate and win by KO, and one of us raised the serious possibility that Smith might retire on Saturday. Who's trying to justify anything?
