  • In this video I will educate you on what Axis Lines are and how to use them to install your electrical equipment precisely in it's location. I will briefly show you how to use a benchmark to find correct elevations.
    Usually on large construction sites the GC will be in charge of laying out Axis lines where you can measure off of to pinpoint where your electrical equipment needs to be installed. On smaller sites you'll still have the GC to talk to about getting Axis lines but you might have to do the work as far as snapping chaulk lines to mark the Axis lines on the floor. The difference between large and small sites is just that. Larger sites the Axis lines will most likely already be marked on floor in a few key areas if not around the whole site. Smaller sites not so much. Please feel free to drop any questions in the comments. Send me your video ideas to my Discord Community. If you aren't already apart of my Discord just request a private link in the comments and I'll send you your own private link. Thanks for watching my video.

    Outstanding job on your videos sir. I've been an IBEW electrician for almost 25 years and your knowledge base is top level. My son just began his apprenticeship and I have him watching your videos. You need to become an instructor in the Union hall. Up here in Canada IBEW employees working as reps earn well above $120k in US dollars annually. Would be a great retirement plan. Hats off to you and God bless

      I appreciate your comment. Thanks, it feels good to be recognized for all the hard work I put into teaching myself all those years. I think I would've done great in the union. I have a passion and love for the trade that I myself don't understand sometimes. Non-union shops don't really care too much about how much you like it or love the trade. I was actually recruited to teach at a private school here in NYC. Still not sure if I'm going to take the position or not. I would have loved to teach for the union. That would have been a great accomplishment for me. I would have never retired.

    This was a very informative video. Appreciate the content. From one journeyman to the next, you said most apprentices will not experience this, well , most journeyman will not experience this too.
    As a side note how can I communicate with you. I would like to chop it up with you about a lot of this content you are putting out.

      Hey what's going on Tony! Best way to get in contact with me. Would be to message me through my Discord Server. I make sure I'm always signed on to my Discord. I have lots of electrician's that always want to ask me questions. So I try to get back to them ASAP.
      I'll leave you my LinkedIn and Discord links.

    I have another question/comment. In your video you mentioned getting the masons to cut the rebar, don’t you mean the iron workers?

    • @TheArtOfConduitBending
      @TheArtOfConduitBending  Рік тому

      No it's actually the masons. They install the rebar and pour the concrete. So it's their job to cut it for me so I can install my sleeves. At least at this job this is how it works.
