In my opinion, Kelly was the best coach. I feel like the other coaches babied the contestants, but she really seemed to listen to what was good for THEM.
Her choosing Kelly would’ve been such a better choice! Especially with the song choices, George’s choices didn’t let her express her self in ways she did with Joe in her 1st season.

Agree! She actually did really well when she sang Nirvana and that song during the battles. But those where pretty much ballads. She can do soooo much better. I wish Delta would have turned for her. She would have taken her far.

I believe Madi has an angelic voice, but singing isn't all about how it sounds, it's about the emotion you put into the song (or the connection you create with the song) that transforms someone into a truly amazing artist.
The girl can sing, but her performances were lukewarm. There wasn't any fire. She never really went for it. Maybe it was the song choice, maybe it was her playing it safe, but I liked her audition so much better. She had a bit of an attitude then.
Boy George had corrupted her. She wanted attitude, you could tell, and all these technicalities and other parts of being a singer were just being thrown at her

She was doing so well, but I don't think she has the raunchy voice for Slave. She was still bloody awesome though, she's still learning and blossoming as an artist!

To be honest I think she is a performer being an artist is more than just your voice it’s who you are and how you portray yourself which I saw in her. I think she was underrated even if people say it was the songs that’s not it. She rocked those songs and that’s my opinion
She was really good, and she did great with the nirvana song. It's good that some diversity was in there, I think she needed that, just to fully see her potential and range. I also think sticking with the pop princess style was the way to go as well, because that is clearly her, but the Brittany song was not the right pick for her and there was just too much going on. Madi has an INCREDIBLE voice and I think that if she would have gone with Kelly her voice would pop off way better and she might’ve even won the competition because Kelly knows how to manage with woman’s voice better than her coach. He gave her a lot of low vocals and that’s why they didn’t see her full potential that year and it sucks tbh

I agree, boy goerge is a great singer but i feel like because of his personality he is incomparable to joe as he is a pop singer, a new age pop singer and if you watch all the reactions that Madie gives when the song choices are given she is surprised and she even says at 5:02 that it is something she would never listen to but if you watch this ua-cam.com/video/JDjeTpdih-w/v-deo.html, where she sings with Ayden, she is matched by someone in the same genre od music and similar age, also joe being in the music scene nowadays he knows the market well and this energetic style of pop that isn't totally repetitive totally fitter her character a lot more and felt more in her area of strength as the song is/was popular, everyone was singing it, and has a fast pace that you can get really into. now i feel that this song didn't reflect the style she may be going for which caused an 80% effort in vocals as it is not a song she enjoys or even knew 2 weeks prior and that joe just knew what was best not what was unknown, and in a different style.ad she knows who she wants to be and wants to sing in itis pointless to give her a song she doesn't like or knows and so feels that boy George was a bad decision and that if she has song choices that were fun and energetic, allowing her to get further/win thereby giving her the opportunity to try other styles when he has an audience and not giving her different songs hence making the views turn away!

To be honest I think she is a performer being an artist is more than just your voice it’s who you are and how you portray yourself which I saw in her. I think she was underrated even if people say it was the songs that’s not it. She rocked those songs and that’s my opinion

She was really good, and she did great with the nirvana song. It's good that some diversity was in there, I think she needed that, just to fully see her potential and range. I also think sticking with the pop princess style was the way to go as well, because that is clearly her, but the Brittany song was not the right pick for her and there was just too much going on.

Hes trying to make her something shes not. Too vanilla for vinyl dominatrix attire. Did okay with emo/grunge. Is good as young Brittney but not grown Brittney. It's something she will have to grow into as a woman it doesn't seem right if its forced. They are trying to oversexualize her let her be innocent. She can still be emotional and passionate as a pop star and a performer without it. Beautiful young lady. Hopefully she will stay true to herself. Boy George is trying to give her Demons she doesn't need. I feel like Kelly would have nurtured her better.
Kelly is my favorite coach. She really listens to her performers and always does what they want, but tries her best to train them around it.

1. Those weren’t great performances.
2. There could have been WAY better song choices, so personally I think she made a mistake picking George.
3. The second last performance made me think WTH IT’S A SINGING PERFORMANCE THAT A LOT OF KIDS WATCH, NOT A STRIP CLUB.
4. Why the heck was George wearing a jacket with A’s in circles (that means Anarchy) in the last performance.
5. This video killed me!!!! Last year you did so well. Again, personally I think George should have chosen better songs that showed the full capability of your voice. Those songs had blaaaaaa written all over it.

Madi has an INCREDIBLE voice and I think that if she would have gone with Kelly her voice would pop off way better and she might’ve even won the competition because Kelly knows how to manage with woman’s voice better than her coach. He gave her a lot of low vocals and that’s why they didn’t see her full potential that year and it sucks tbh
