The card will be tested first in Latvia, Greece, Belgium, Germany and Portugal but it is one of those EU madnesses to be applied by all member countries , they say it has nothing to do with the last and famous vaccine and it is not to oblige people to take it but just for the medical services to have a quick access to the travellers status on that matter. Most people will just not take the card and if they oblige people to have one the southern Europeans will just ignore the all thing and still not take it and there will be riots in northern Europe. Just wait until they start obliging the Germans to have one.

I heard that the EU was adopting the WHO recommendation for a Digital Health/Vaccination Card in 5 countries as an initial test and since I am currently in the process of obtaining a Portugal D7 VISA to travel there and investigate land purchase and residency I am now pondering whether it is going to work for me. I am in the same situation as Abe and am concerned with forced "health" treatments of any kind. Will this new regulation apply to "resident" status folks as well as "citizens" or do they intend to treat both as a the same under this new test of compliance? I would be most interested in your understanding as if they do I will not be bothering to make the move although I would love to make Portugal my home base for the remainder of my life.
Portugal is a very compliant country with the general population over 60 but you would be surprised how many did not take the juice. at the moment it’s a voluntary scheme but if that changes we would have to take a stand and we wouldn’t be the only ones , we are growing force , thanks for commenting and enjoy the rest of the week 🇵🇹🌞

I live in the Algarve and have never heard about this vaccine card. Anyway, I will not be carrying any card with me. I never got vaccinated during the pandemic. I dont think they will oblige people to have the card.

Hope you're having a good weekend, too. Your foraged lunch looked excellent. Your year old avocado tree is thriving. Wonderful to harvest food you grew yourself and be as self sufficient as you can be. I'm with you, i'm introverted and was fine AND relieved to stay home and to myself when needed during the pandemic. I was perfectly fine with getting meds and groceries and meals delivered. I still prefer deliveries over manuvering city traffic, searching for parking, and waiting in line so long for scrips 🙄. Grocery shopping is fine for stuff i can't have delivered for free. If i wasn't often tired from care giving, i know i'd cook more, probably go out a bit more. As it is i've had to take on part time help just so i'm not exhausted from having to do every single routine daily as well as house maintenance and administrative and health advocacy chore. I had a brief break, my first, when mom was in a therapy facility for 2 months at the beginning of summer, but very busy at home rearranging, resanitizing, reorganizing the house to make it even more disabled friendly and accessible. When i started caring for mom 20 yrs ago i stopped watching news bc the news broadcasted just added to my dis-ease. So i feel ya, Angela, not folowing politics and news too closely. 😉

cicadas and field crickets they can be extremely load they can lay dormant for 20 years and hatch we once had one in our house in Alte started chirping at 5.30 pm right through the night took 4 days to get rid of it with sprays etc …it emerged a bit battle worn but went on to live its best life in the field, thanks for commenting have a great weekend 🇵🇹🌞

I have heard that you have to harvest cucumber before it ripens otherwise the plant stops producing.
