Just to make it clear, Rehma didn’t sing all her lines in English. The last minute of the song was sung mostly in Pashto by her. To me all her verses sung in English were very clear and understandable. She’s originally from LA so she doesn’t have the Pakistani accented English either. She just switches back and forth between the two languages and your mind is trying to decipher it all in English. 🙂
Shes father from PAKISTAN and Mother from USA ...
She Is PAKISTANi and Amarican
Neah she could have pronounced better, if she sang like that in Urdu she would catch a lot of flak. But she's an American, nobody really cares for lyrics or poetry there that much to start with, I can understand she's from a different culture.
This song is in Pashto and obviously English and the video shows alot of the Pashtun culture and this season is doing a great job showing the many cultures and languages in Pakistan.
She is born and bred in LA, parents are from Pakistan. She already has a song out in the US with another singer.
So, Its a Pashto song. Dance form is Atan. Harkalay means welcome.
Boys with Henna on hands.
Its a cultural thing. They put Henna (mehndi) on palm. And just close it. The henna made different shape for each person. It looks so cute
Its a cultural thing. When there is no rain.. they color paint the children faces with ash. And they visit every house of village and pray for rain.
I'm definitely on Nick's team this time coz I simply love this song . The first time I watched it I found Rehma's entry so magical and mesmerizing. I couldn't stop listening to it. She looks gorgeous and sounds amazing.
A nicely produced video , had to listen twice after I got my glasses for the subtitles . It's not that lyrics are that important but it gives a bit more context . Interesting hearing your comments and I liked it .
Welcome back, Jodi. Also, thank you for hearing us.
She'll like "O yaara" for sure and that'd be a treat to watch. ✨ Waiting!
Great vid guys thank you for sharing.
Much love from the UK😊
Nice to see you back with Jodi for coke studio reaction. Excellent honest review as usual, loved it.
Good to see you back.
you guys are the best and awesome !!!!
My favourite song of the season! Loved the reaction!!!🎉🎉 welcome back Jodi
Amazing Great Song definitely will be on my list
Good to see you lovely pretty girl God bless to both
I m waiting for you because both the personality is amazing
Beautiful review as always. Please please let jodi watch the next song called o yaara, its close to mehram. It's her style im sure. I also agree with jodi in that although the girl was amazing, if I dint have the subtitles I would not understand what she was singing
She's back.. ❤
Greetings from Pakistan ❤
I was literally thinking about asking Jodi if she still listens to Mehram and boom...she said it!!!
Awesome song
Great ♥️💕
Nice reaction😊
Love from Pakistan❤
finaly my two fav people reaction are here.....
Jodi should have reacted to “O Yaara” from Coke studio. It was right up her alley with the slow and sad /heartfelt songs genre
Welcome back Jodi. We missed you.
Tip: When you watch O Yaara, let the full video run through, please. A number of reactors have turned off the video prematurely.
It was filmed in the Sparkbrook Balti Pavilion. They did a benefit concert for the roof repair fund. Not a lot of people know that.
Nice reaction ❤
Fantastic 👌🎧🎵❤️
Please more coke studio 🎙️❤🎉
Like your reactions but plz dont forget to mention Coke Studio Pakistan. Pakistan has her own identity, dont mix it up with Bangladesh or India.
Thanx!!
Love from #Pakistan ❤️
Rahma’s first language is English..her words were obviously sung in a certain way to blend with the song, and create a sync with the Pashto song.
I'd forgotten that Jodi was a sucker for sad songs! Nick, please react to O Yaara with her. I can see both of you loving that song.
Lovely Jody!♥️🤗
She is an American, Pakistani American from LA. She is an R&B singer there and has an EP called Mercy out.
7:57 Spot on. Her enunciation left a LOT to be desired. I had to read the subtitles to understand what she was saying!
She is from US though lol
@legendofnothing1 Exactly! No excuse whatsoever for mumbling the way she did. Full marks for the emotion, range and beautiful tone, though.
I think her enunciation helped blend it in with the pashto to be honest. It added a roundness
@@Mesiawhy Nice. I see your point. Think a happier medium could've been struck, though.
I live, and have livedmost of my life, in the US. I don't speak Pashtu, and I had absolutely no trouble understanding her. I am curious where you are from?
Welcome back Jodi ❤. If you couldn't understand Rehma's lyrics you can read the subtitles. She does mumble at times and maybe that is her style. For me this is my favourite song from season 15. It is such a passionate love song. A love story between people from two different worlds sharing the language of love.
The female singer Rahma is from US with Pakistani origin.
Yay, she's back. We bugged the hell out of Nick until he brought Jodi back. Nice to see the beautiful couple back together, again. Rehma is a Los Angeles based Pakistani singer. Her voice is absolutely ethereal. And Jodi, English is her first language. I believe, her sort of mumbling of the language was purposely done to kind of make the 2 languages sound similar, so that it wouldn't sound odd. Watch the BTS.
Anyway, Jodi, the next song, O' Yaara, is right up your alley. It is this season's Mehram, although it isn't a love song. But, it is just as beautiful and soul-stirring. Plz. do react on it, together.
Rehma is a Californian from LA of Pakistani descent. Third generation. The guy nailed it that she sung it in a certain way to rhythm and stay in style with the song. Pronunciation is as drives by that aspect.
❤❤❤❤
Hi guys doing great job 👍kindly also react to its magical journey because it unfolds more details which is hidden inside this song which we might not notice . So please react to it's magical journey would be waiting for it
Oh, and by the way... The language the male singer is singing in, the context, the set setting and the people in the video, are all Pashtuns, Afghanis, basically people who Americans have mercilessly killed and occupied for so many years.
Guys react to O yaara as well from this season. I love the message that they give in these songs.
Nick, you're right, btw. The outside shots are with a green screen. They showed it in the shorts. Well spotted!
REMAA, a US national, was discovered by producer Xulfi on UA-cam and chosen for Coke Studio season 15.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😎
Love you both of you From PAKISTAN ❤❤❤
The girl Rehma is from Los Angeles.
She should react to o yaara. She would love it as she loved mehram. She also should react to 2am
Was Jodie forced to do this review?? Kinda got the vibe she didn’t want to be there lol
now I am back to follow your account, i unfollowed before because of Jodi was not doing review of CS Pakistan, welcome back Jodi
She should listen to O Yaara, it is a sad song
Please keep her for the reactions
Jodi would love 2 am.
If she still loves Mehram she will definitely love "O yaara"
Great pakistan
Guys, important tips**
# Try not to say "This is not my favourite but" ...
# Avoid negative comments.
# Be positive 🙂
# Positive thoughts bring positive air and energy.
# People wait for your positive comments. That does not mean it should be your favourite.
Thanks for the suggestions but we will always give our opinions of what we react to. If we only said positive stuff then it becomes incredible. In life you have to accept the bad and the good or you’re missing a real experience.
You should watch the BTS of this song. You are right there is a lot of work which went behind it.
Rehma is from LA :-)
8:44 HAHAHAHAHA hilarious moment
Also Checkout The Artist season 1 Pakistan Another pride of Pakistan ❤
❤️🇵🇰
Jodi plz do the all over the CS Pakistan
The music beat and sound is good. You can tell he’s a good singer. Unfortunately I can’t understand the words which is a large part of any song
Oh Yaara next song is also kind of with darker msg so maybe do reaction with Jody than Gabe as Gabe doesnt like negative theme songs while Jody on otehr hand loves Mehrum whic was dark as hell lol....also we need Men in Black memory eraser pen for Jody to forget about Mehrum and then let her review other songs.
if u liked mehram...u shud react on coke studio 15 o yaara and 2 am...o yaara is soothing
Cock studio Pakistan is producing Elite level of music 🔥🔥🔥
I like the way ur opinions come out but little margin.
You guys need to watch the BTS videos accompanying each track. This season, they have made them like mini documentaries which explain the concept of the videos, lyrics, the clothing, the sets, the cinematography and what the songs mean.👍
React on block buster pls
Jodi has an other level of recognition. I like her honesty 😄
Please jodi react to O YAARA it’s close to mehram❤❤❤
Omani Balochi song reaction singer name Nadeem shanan 😊
She lives in the USA 😅
Coke Studio Season 15 is not for Rock and Electric Guitar Fans, very Sad for people like me
Looks like you begged her to do the video, and she is not too happy to be there.
I’m sorry you felt that way. I really like Coke Studio. The song just wasn’t up my alley, and I won’t fake that it is.
@@Jodi_BoringReviews Didn’t expect you to say something you didn’t mean. It’s just that I have seen a number of your videos, and you have never seemed this disinterested in even participating. You are also usually one of the most insightful reviewers. That is what was missing for me.
It's been 2 yrs and they're both still stuck on ye duniya and mehram❤ 😂
She's needs 2am
