Rochester baby
Your editing is simple, yet VERY clean and satisfying. Great content overall and love the musical hijinks
I'm definitely interested in watching shenanigans like this while you do your gigs. Brings a relatable element to seeing musicians being human and having fun doing their jobs
Thank you!!
"You're on the ocean, there's no rules" absolutely genius
😂😂
you know its a great day when Frankie uploads!
🥺🙏🏻
For sure!
Yes more vlogs like this!! I was in a wedding band for 10 + years (tenor and baritone sax) and it's always interesting to see how other bands, band members, etc. experience gigs.
These longer style vlog videos are what we NEED!
More to come!
@@FoolishFrankie Whooooop!
the guy having his mind blown by Erie was so funny and endearing as someone who grew up in NE OH and spent much of my childhood around the Erie coast. People who aren't from the area never understand how BIG the great lakes are till they see them!
Facts!!
Alex was very funny. Living on the West coast 😎 a few miles away, it awesome to see that first time experience. Gotta dig the night time picture with the flash on😊super class.
One time at a wedding I asked the elder sax player, amazing musician, what his influences were... Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins .. he looked at me surprised and said "I just like the horn" and left me without one more word. So I could not find out about his musical preferences but I learned that he dislikes talking to guests of a wedding. And I wasn't drunk since I do not drink alcohol. But to make it clear, what was exciting for me was just a gig for him. Sometimes when I am grumpy and people ask me why I have become an art dealer I say "The chicks, it is all about the women". 😂 Thank you for your videos. LOVE them. All best from Germany.
Oof, assuming they weren’t in the middle of playing that’s a rough answer. I know some elder musicians that have become jaded because of playing so many wedding gigs…but I also know some that are still excited to play and will always happily talk to people about what they do. Sorry you didn’t have a good experience with that person!!
If you have time when you're filming, asking your band-mates how they got started in music, what's something they realized was a skill they needed on the gig circuit, or what some unexpected perks are of that lifestyle, all that would be really cool.
❤️❤️
I’ve been thinking about trying to start a podcast so I can have longer conversations like that!
I can’t get over how dang good that drummer is!
And the trumpet player is
everyone in the band sounds excellent but god dang that drummer 🙏💯
Do more of these style videos I love them so much
love from a Swedish bass trombonist
Jason is killer!! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thanks for posting this gig vlog! Can't wait to see more vids like these - keep up the fantastic work and impeccably brilliant musicianship as always! (PS - Katie Simone is on fire here! Incredible job from her, you, and everybody else in the band!)
Thank youuu and I know right she always brings the heat!!🙏🏻
💜💜💜
@@FoolishFrankie Yeah! Hope we get to see more of her. A lot more - this woman is absolutely sensational.
Definitely interesting, especially as a teenager trying to figure out what it’s like to be a professional musician and trying to decide whether or not it’s something to pursue
Ngl, am here for the FF vlog laugh/faces but dang was super happy to see the one and only bass player, Anton, best vibes. Def more vlogs, great job.
Only good vibes on this gig!! Thank you for watching 🙏🏻🙏🏻
always fun to see these types of content! The way you interact with the band members fun and cool to see!
I appreciate that!
This was fun to watch and see you play tenor. I’m honestly shocked how small this community is. Your videos are amazing and they always light a musician up and we need more videos like this of just pure musical experience. 🎵🎶🎼
Thank you so much!🥺🙏🏻
I love watching these gig vlogs. I'm actually looking into starting to get gigs myself so it's really helpful to see what goes on before I get into it myself. Plus it's just nice to see people having fun
Glad you like them!🙏🏻
I love these types of videos
I think it's cool to see the process of gigs
I love these kinds of videos. I honestly wish it was a little longer. It’s like vlog content combined with music content. So fun!
Thank you I'll try to make longer ones in the future!
Yes I agree super cool 😎 and very watchable.
It's really cool seeing the other side of a wedding! I enjoy your content! You are funny and a great musician!
Thanks so much!!
Love the vlogs! Thanks for taking us around your gigs!
Thank you for watching 🥺🙏🏻
Absolutely loved it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
How could the guitarist NOT have extras strings? Bet he will never go without again!
I think it takes longer to change a string and with us being outside and it being cold it would probably take even longer🥲
This was a lot of fun! Thanks!
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I am amazed his band mates are so cool about and even seem to enjoy he is videoing. So fun.
This was great! I used to love watching Adam Neely's Gig vlogs when he used to do weddings and this was as good, if not better. Keep 'em coming
That means a lot he’s a huge inspiration thank you!🙏🏻
I found your videos by your Club Penguin covers, and I've been loving your content! The vlog-style videos are great. Switching between the gig itself and the moments in between where you're talking to the other guys in the band is the perfect format.
WOW that's crazy that you saw the Club Penguin covers first!! Well thank you so much for watching my videos I really appreciate it🙏🏻
Excellent video Frankie. I love to see what life is really like for gigging musicians. You obviously enjoy your job.
Thank you so much!! I definitely do and am lucky to be able to do what I do🙏🏻
The band sounded really good! Loved the drumming especially
Thank you🙌🏻🙏🏻
Leaving the neck strap on is relatable, I just realize when I finish putting my sax away lol
Happens all the time😂
Please keep showing these! I love to get a glimpse of the gig world.
Thank you I’ll try my best!!
This vlog was fun to watch plz do more👍👍
Love the gig vlog, keep'em coming!
(For the record, I'm terrible for breaking strings and always bring a spare... and, zomg, I played all those songs in the last week! 😂)
I'm all about these! Makes me feel like I get to part of a life experience that I'll never actually experience.
Thank you I’m glad I can open that works for you!!🙏🏻
I love these videos, please keep them coming!
Thank you i will try!
WOAH!!! Dennis was my tutor for a bit back in high school and is a fantastic trumpet player ( I might not have been the best student, tho 👀 ). It's great to see him gigging and making a name for himself!
Omg that’s awesome!!
This was very fun to watch, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was awesome, would love to see more of these on your channel!
Thank you I'm going to try and do more!!
I played some gigs like this in high school, those were some of the funnest times in my life
I loved this video!
Also, Alex gives off such bassist vibes.
this was AWESOME! keep ‘em comin man. you did exceptional for this being your first ever vlog. great job homie
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love these kind of vlog videos !!
I'm so glad!
Loved the gig vlog, please do more!
Thank you!!
These vlogs are worth it. More!
More coming!
Gig vlogs are my favorite! Also as someone who grew up within walking distance from Lake Erie its so fun to see someone get excited over something so mundane to me!
Wowww that’s awesome!! It is funny how when you’re used to something that you live near you don’t even think about it😂 thanks so much for watching!!
I love gig vlogs like this! Please do more if you can!
Thank you I’m going to!!
I only really starting watching you more recently, but my god does your stuff GROOVES! I'm a big jazz/swing fan among other genres like Bossa Nova, and god am I eating good tonight with these JAMS! Your skills with your sax is insane! I only can aspire to a level of talent like yours on my guitar, haha.
Thank you so much!!
Yesss! More vlogs on gigs! I play the alto sax btw, and your videos inspire me! I am in a band and I do performances twice a year, and it's really fun! I hope you can relate to that too!
That’s awesome thanks!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@FoolishFrankie omg i didnt think you would reply or read this, but i appreciate that, given me a bit of a shock! Heh tysm!
Love the gig vlogs, especially the on stage parts like u pointing out the drummer might play a different grove and pointing out you locking in with the trumpet. Very interesting and im convinced you pointing out these little things makes me a better musician with a more open ear
Ahh I'm glad those parts are helpful!!
love the vlog style/day in the life pace of this video. keep it up!
Thank you so much I’ll try!!
Dude, is that Katy Simone?!? Love her!!!!
Loving these longer gig vlogs!
Thank you🥺🙏🏻
I've shot video for a wedding at this exact place. Many years ago. Fun to see it in a video. Thanks for the VLOG!
Wooaahhh that’s crazy!!
Yeah, this was a kool vlog! It's interesting to see how the process works. It looks easy because everyone is a professional. Hope to see more in the future.
Glad you enjoyed it!🙏🏻
I think this is super cool! Super good editing skills my guy, not over the top, super chill and interesting. Love it!
Much love 🙏🏻
Man dedication. He responds to every single comment. Enjoy your vids and shorts man. Brightens my day!
I try to get as many as I can but can’t get to them all😭 I really appreciate you watching and I’m glad my videos bring you joy!🙏🏻
Ayy, a new gig video! Happy to see an upload
Thank you for watching!!!
@@FoolishFrankie Also, this probably goes unnoticed a lot but your active engagement with me and the community has 100% contributed to me coming back ❤️
LOVED THE VIDEOOO! Definitely keep making more like this! I’m also loving the great lake documentary 😂
Thank you!!!
I really love the gig vlogs!
Thank you!!
I love these videos. Keep doing them!
Thank you I will!!
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy this type of content. Keep it up. Nothing wrong with the editing style. Keep up the good work. Regards Eduan in Beijing China.
Thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻
Enjoyed the shenanigans, many thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!!
The vlog videos are great!
Thank you!!🙏🏻
I liked the structure of the video, with the small chitchats between music shots. I also appreciated the breakfast part lol. Thank you!
Thank you!!🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can I just say I am so Jelly that you can make a living out of this. I have a full time job and there is no way I can get enough gigs to make a living out of it!
There are definitely some things about your full time job that I’m jealous of!! I’m grateful to do what I do, but everything has its pros/cons. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@FoolishFrankie no thank you for making enjoyable content 🙂
This vlog is great! please do more, I love it! (and the duet at 3:48 got me all fuzzy)
What song was that?
I love these vlogs! I’d love to see more of them if they’re not too much trouble to make. Looks like a ton of fun :)
Thank youuu I’m going to try and make more!
I live just south of Erie and spent a ton of time on the lake in my teenage years. Watching the guitar players fascination with it was absolutely hilarious. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful tho, I kinda get that.
I’m laughing my pants off hahaha! Your mimicking 😂😂. Louis de Funes 🙌🏻
Love your videos. Can see the improvement also! nice work
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good video. Nice to the see the musician commadre I've also experienced. Surprise -- I've seen Greg's UA-cam sax videos, but didn't know he was a keyboard player too. Your channel is fun and entertaining. Best of luck!
Thank you so much!! And yes he’s awesome at both, and great at educating!! Thanks for watching🙏🏻
sweet sound, great video 👍
Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yoooo my extended family's from Girard, PA and my grandpa grew up in North East, PA. I know exactly where that Welch's grape plant is!
That’s awesome!!
Yeah. Interesting (and entertaining) this is!
Thank you!!
You got some good writing acting and editing chops kid! Keep it up
No acting or writing here but thanks!!
This was fun, def do more, it's just life as a musician and that's so interesting, at least for me as a fellow musician haha
Thank you so much!!
These vlogs fill that space of the gig vlogs Adam Neely used to upload with some frequency. I still really like his content but there's something about this look behind the curtains that I really missed.
He’s a huge inspiration so thank you!!🙏🏻
I’ve always wanted to play/sing at weddings! But I’m also an emotionally…Dissonant ✨ jazz musician, so I couldn’t get through a set without tearing up! 😂 Also, random, but I love the name Frankie.
Just came here from a short to see the bass, and my god do I want one of those dingwalls 😩
Check out @antondefade on IG to see more of it!
You've done a very good job ^_^
Thank you! 😄
Now show us all the lakes.
u deserve more
🙏🏻🙏🏻
I get it, the great lakes are sick
The real bands perspective of a wedding gig: alot of driving, alot of waiting, a little bit of playing and then alot of driving again 😂
I am from Erie, living in BC Canada now. I'm guessing you were in North East but if you play a wedding at the Peninsula and want great cheap food go to New York Lunch 1525 Peninsula Dr. get a large order of greek fries a couple of greek dogs and a shake. Trust me the large greek fries is enough for two or three people if you get dogs as well.
Love this! Did you also get a new camera, cuz it’s looking so much better
Thank you! And I did not but outdoor lighting is usually way better than indoor which makes a huge difference
your wedding vlogs are super interesting to me
Thank you I’m glad you like them!!
I do have other gig vlogs too you might like, like my video game band vlogs:)
Nah, it's good. Fun to watch! And great to cut into shorts, i'm sure!
As a musician, I approve of this video😂😂
😂🙏🏻
9:33 This definitely didn't suck. I think your pacing and editing style is great.
Thank you🙏🏻🙏🏻
I know those cats!! Rock on!
Greg checking his phone while playing an old time classic funk is just hilarious at 4:39
LMAO I know right
You are inspiring me to do something similar with my tribute band.
Ayyy glad to hear!!
Liked it.
thank you!!
@@FoolishFrankie
I prefer long form to 59 seconds. Hard to grasp context. ✌💞🎶🎤🎶💃🎶🎹🎻🎺🎷🎸
this is very intertaning
Thank you!!
4:47 keys-player casually checking his social media while playing.
LOL did you hear what I said at the end about him🙈
😊
Hey Frankie so when you go to gigs do you bring both tenor and alto with you?
No, usually just one or the other. Depending on the section and what tunes we’re playing
Heyyy Rochester!!
6:37 babies when you play peekaboo
LOL
I still don't quite grasp the concept of object permanence yet but I'm working on it 😂
you went to UNT?!! Very cool, that’s one of my dream schools!
Very briefly, I dropped out of school
