Thanks for the inspiration RJ, after i started watching motovlogs (especially yours) i went from no license to full license in 3 months. Riding is fucking amazing, and it's given me something to live for. Screw being stuck in a tin can on your way to your concrete cage, now i'll have fun at least twice a day come rain or sunshine.
Enjoy the best anti-depressant known to man :)
you're not the only! , Rj inspired me too to ride a motorcycle :D
Hatagashira; congratulations on passing your test. Welcome to the brotherhood, stay within your limits, as you progress you will get better, Ride safe.
So true
+RoyalJordanian 👍
1 thing I dont like about the BMW 1000R = its not in my garage
lol
Good point
I just headbanged to this comment :D
Nazgûl m
BMW are absolute geniuses of german engineering. I just admire this bike so much!
BMW never dissapoint :) (Except for that ugly i3 but thats another story ^_^)
BMW E1 is even worse than the i3
Gandalf m8 How could we forget the Isetta?...
+Douglas Wilander The isetta is so iconic and so weird which makes it cool again
Steven SuperRainbow OkayI can kinda see that, fair point, BUT in fashion of previous commenter you need to name another example then ^_^
The front view is sick .. how can someone dislike it?
*****
Take a look at this picture..
zx6r.com/attachments/classifieds/9237d1331184676-need-custom-decals-no-fear-2.gif
This is how I see it.
For me it's sickening, how can somebody like that shit. Taste is highly subjective after all.
Yeah it's a brilliant bit of design, that it can evoke that mean as hell feeling, while also being practical.
Schleberger Your taste is whack.
I beg to differ. The bike looks weird to me. Like it can't decide whether it should be a naked or sport bike. Look at those fairings, I mean, it's shouldn't even be called a naked bike 😑
"You don't want to see that in your rear view mirror" Hahahaha I can imagine 😂
Walane 🙌
The sound and pull these machines have is just incredible!! My top choice for a naked.
Same
"... volume or whatever sound control"
That phrase tells a lot about RJ :D
And it's a shame that UK guys don't have to care about that shit. It's so complicated over here in GER
+bergoen echt so
+bergoen I feel sorry for you. I've heard a few people conplaining about the dreaded TÜV!
+Adam. tüv is shit, they Charge you for sth practically unecessary
Adam. TÜV is a good thing in general but it's annoying with the laws about noise level etc. They often kill the fun part
Should be called the S1000RJS.
true
That front end on the BMW's took me getting used to. But now I love it!
I'm jelly RJ
Completely agree with all your comments, first naked I’ve ever owned and I can’t fault it, problem is where do you go from hear 😂 I guess when they do an update will have to get that one.
Someone in Romania recommended me your channel when told about it in a video on his channel. I really like what you do in these presentations. Greetings from Romania.
Cheers and welcome
Great review, I owned one for a year, put nearly 11,000 miles on it and just a fantastic motorcycle. Now riding the 2016 Aprilia Tuono 1100 Factory which might be even more exciting than the s1000r!
Probably the best bike ever made. I loved it. And the sound is the best.
Nailed this video, that voice is just hypnotising . This is my favourite bike out at the moment it's just beautiful and the front is awesome!
I fully agree. I have the '16 s1000r and ride in in Texas, and with the roads here in Houston, it's remarkably comfortable. I like the power, so I can pull away from all the trucks, out here to kill me.
I am ok with the sound, after I put on a Akra slip-on, but I love the Austin exhaust you have. That's what I am going to do. Thanks for the tip!
Waiting on delivery on the 2020 San merino blue with all the bells and whistles 👍🙂
3 months ago, I bought a red s1000r, because of you rj and its a fantastic bike.
My only problem with the bike... Its a little too hot for summer trafic, but its nice for canadian spring or fall
I've heard many bikes, but the sound of THIS exact BMW is my favourite. It's just a preference, but i think it's the best sounding bike i've heard.
I just found your channel today, and i must say im hooked. Amazing videos you have, and me personally, i've always wanted to buy a bike for myself but for some reason i've never had. Now your videos, they really give a great perspective of what kind of freedom and enjoy the riding gives. A real inspiration they have been, thank you for that.
Greetings from Finland friend.
Go for it :)
I did mate. That's the bike i've been thinking about now. Though most likely i have to wait till next summer. 2-3 months and it's gonna start to snow again.
BMW just makes amazing bikes, I think once I can afford it, an S1000xr will definitely make its way into my garage
Hi RJ much respect
i love front light !!!
i love the sound!!!
i love s1000rs!!!
i love super bike!!!
Can't wait for mine to arrive.
I got one this morning. Really enjoyed the ride home.
I just started watching the video and after all the bike sounds I had to sneeze and then the girl was screaming in the intro. I laughed so hard xD
also: i agree. i´ll get a BMW F800R soon, the older one with the asymetric front. LOVE it. same with the S1000R/RR/Rs.
This is the one I've been waiting for :) I've had mine 2+ years also and every time I ride it blows me away how awesome it is. Looks are subjective, I just love it though!
Really want to remove the CAT but worried it will ruin the mid-range torque. I'd be grateful if you could offer some advice on what you did RJ.
If you remove it's best to fit a PCV and a remap, before the pcv, accelerate hard and I would say, quick, after tuning, accelerate and I would say, holy shit. You can see the dyno graphs on my website.
This is my starter bike been riding it 5 months now no problems, it makes average riders look great.
Thanks RJ. This is the vídeo that I was expecting. Flawless rev and you have my dream bike. Congrats and regards from Argentina.
i am French and I love your videos
my wishlist bike RJ. hope i could buy it in the near future
I totally agree with you. I never would chose the S1000R in first place, because for me the front looks to ugly. BUT as my bike was in service i got her as loan bike.. and boy was it a pleasure to ride her. Like you said she drives like nothing else i have ever ridden before and on top of that the lovely sound, even of the stock exhaust. And when you riding her you don't have to see the front! ;)
dayum, even bmw's bikes are awesome, that brand is perfect
I loooooove the front of the bike. This channel is so HQ
Very entertaining and to-the-point. Thanks. Your last sentence: "....you don't want to see that front in your rearview mirror..." will not happen very long and/or very often. Before anyone notices it, you're gone....... ;-))
I'm loving this series RJ. Thanks as always for the great content! : )
Absolutely stunning.
Love it and the sound, and you probably don't see it in the rear view for long.
Beautiful bike. I'm in the process of deciding if I want the extra expense of monthly payments to own something so amazingly savage, yet supremely usable.
Every summer I travel the US and North America on a Honda VFR, and I too find that 150(ish) miles between stops is about perfect. The five minutes the entire process takes is a great refresh, and (as important) an easy way to tell if more rest is needed.
That's a great looking bike.
Yeah that front is so sick! Looks like a sinister villain with a monocle or something lol
Awesome review! thank you very much for that straightforward no bull honest review.
RJ!! Thanx to you I got me one & If I may say that the 6th thing I like It´s the sound it makes when shifting gears up.... That Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaam sound it´s just awsome. Thanx a bunch again for your inspiration :-) Stay safe.
The front looks like a pirat, really a hooligan bike, i like it. And the carbon parts look awesome !
Having the looks of a pirate is the reason for her name "Teuta".
Isn't it a reference to the "german side" (Teutonic Order) of the bike?
Tempted but I think I'll hang onto the Street Triple RX for now and evaluate again when BMW bring a new model out.
It looks so mean! I like it
I love bmw bikes, they have such a high quality.
love the unique intro
Love the looks of this bike. It looks like a stunt bike👍
RJ, detailed reviews from you would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
bmw is one of the known for making the best automotives in the world, reliable, fast everything. i'm riding the hp4 for 3 years and has zero problems.
Couldn't agree more!
Me said Sound b4 RJ says gusse Sound .. Awesome ❤️❤️
Nuda, duke, and this one are my favorite. Sure would like to follow your foot steps and own them all.
165 at the back wheel... That's not bad.... That translates to about 180 plus at the crank.... Got the dyno readout... Love to see it.!
reel.tv/#!bmw-s1000rs-dyno/
Damn! I was really looking forward to hearing it with that exhaust on it.
Awesome bikes :D
correction: you can not turn off the linked brakes. you can only turn off ABS for the rear wheel, but brakes will still be linked (front brake applies rear brake - not the other way around).
great review! bravo
It's a beautiful bike. I wish to have one once I'm old enough
Certainly the best describe of this Only Bike wich i own since 2 years 30000 km ride through high alpine roads.
I love this bike
I'm heavily biased haha, but I couldn't agree more with you more. Absolute weapon ! I'm just about to put the GP3 Austin Racing on mine.
As for the comments on looks, its either love or hate haha, for me I love it too !
My dream s1000r..😊😊😊
RJ, drive safely and keep upload!
BR
You dont want to see that in your rear view mirror 😂😂 love u RJ
hi RJ . BMW is my dream bike
My favorite bike
RJ, the full race exchaust of Akra (so with the decat) is not street legal in many EU countries. I know for sure it is not in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Luxembourg.
dream bike! i love it
I have the same bike, it's the love of my life.
great vid RJ, i currently ride a K4 gsxr1000, but i think im looking at my next bike on this video! i really love the BMWs1000 range the R or the RR i love em both!
I didnt care for the head wobble it has. Sure you can nearly eliminate that with a better steering dampener, but I ended up trading my 14 S on a 16 R1200R and its amazing and everything I need, great range, more comfortable, plenty fast enough, and shaft drive.
What a hooligan bike 🔥🤙
Nice review, i 'm hesitating with my r 1200 r , to keep it or not... but the fuel stop made my descision to keep my r 1200 r and the 360 km before light in touring mode and pretty mutch 320 in back road fun.
Thanks for the video! Perhaps you could include some sound clips or pulls in your videos at the end so we can hear and see some of your likes/loves in action.
my dream bike and i think best bike on the world 👍👍👍
Hola RJ es preciosa esa BMW s1000R
Saludos.
rj 좋은 동영상 항상 고맙습니다ㅎ
You should try forged hp wheels handling is amazing!
Great, I know you are prefere Husqvarna, but I love this BMW :D
I admit, more like S1000XR :D
Let's HEAR IT
Nice rubber!!!
Very beautiful bike! 😉 ✌️
Espectacular....
Thanks for the vids. waiting for mine to be delivered in few weeks, maybe see you around!
Nice motorcycle!
wonder why you don't use tank side grips. They really work great and save the paint on the tank from unwanted scratches from your knee
I love mine too
Awesome vid RJ. I can't get enough of that bikes sound in your vids. The nuda and the s1000r sound amazing in different ways.
If they're linked brakes....one would slightly twist the throttle while slowly letting go of the right brake lever? as opposed to slowly getting of the rear brake pedal as you feel the bike pulling?
Bhp = brake horsepower, which means the amount of power (HP) produced and measured at the engine's crankshaft. So the brake or net or crankshaft horsepower rate is always bigger than the wheel (true) hp. As a result, you can't legit say "160 bhp on the wheel". Btw nice video and phenomenal bike.
See the Dyno figures on my site and then tell me what I can say.
almost 500k RJ
BMW R Nine T is beast for me :) i dont need nothing more :)
500k soon
yes
My favorite bike bmw s1000rr
How about a comparism between the bmw and the ktm? Would be very interesting from an owner perspective.
Cool!
I'm very torn between one of these and the s1000rr, it is proving to be a very hard decision
the RR isn't comfortable for daily riding. unless you're not adverse to laying over the tank.
well, 7.5 l/100km (roughly) on a 1l i4 sports-bike engine is pretty alright.
Colleague of mine owns a Honda CB1000r, hers takes about 10l/100km on a sport-setup.
"You don't want to see THAT in your rear-view mirror." Hahaha XD
