I don’t like it but it is what it is. I was spoiled with having Serena so long. Now that we are in a new era, I find it hard to enjoy the matches. Iga is the new leader and I’ll just have to wait until a player that excites me comes along; if they ever do. With Roger and Serena gone, I’m just not sure how much longer I’ll watch. I didn’t realize they were pretty much my sole reason for watching tennis.
Swiatek with such a play, she will continue to be the world’s N0.1 for a long time in tennis.

Although starting the match not well, Iga still dominated her opponent at last. Her top spins were too high and far to hit, which truly world class. Good luck for the Semi！
IGA needed to mentally adjust to the match for honor. She already qualified for the semis from the first place. She still played very well just needed a little time to get on her TGV😉

0ga wins because they have Cheated for her most of the year, which has given 0ga the motivation and confidence needed to go for shots.
The cheating system in tennis chose her after her Doha win early in the year (they may have cheated for 0ga then, too, but I haven't watched those matches).

Iga has started her matches in the Finals tentatively, but once she gets going, there's no stopping her. She was merciless, and I love it. Reminds me of what she looked like at the French Open. I think she's definitely taking down this title.

@@Summon256 She's has a fully mature body since she was 15 and was serving 120 MPH bombs at 13. Shes nearly 19. Shes had an eternity to "figure something out" and has only learned how to beat scrubs. Top 20's feast on her crappy pusher game. She's going nowhere. This is the weakest era in decades and will only get stronger. Plenty of gifted teens who will be serious players in 2 or 3 years.
There seems nothing wrong with Coco's game. Just that iga plays ruthless tennis in this edition of WTA Finals. This is her redemption for being 'totally forgettable' last year.
Iga's insanely fast and her ability to redirect shots is unmatched. The only chance to beat Iga when she's playing like that is to try to dominate her from the get go and push her into defence. Formidable task

I am Polish and of course huge fan of Iga but I have to say I also cheer for Coco. lets keep in mind Coco is only 18, she has great potentials and talent to become champion you need time and hard work, nobody is perfect.....congrats to my girl Iga, respect to Coco for fighting hard and trying your best, your days will come, cheer up and keep up with hard work, respect and love from Poland 🇵🇱

One wonders, at this point, how many more times Coco has to get annihilated by Iga (second bagel IN A ROW this season) before the tennis media that has been relentlessly overhyping Coco for YEARS starts pivoting to a more realistic assessment of her talent and potential... I know Gauff's dream is to be the greatest of all time, but walking off the court today I don't think there's any doubt which of these two players is likely to be a legitimate part of the GOAT conversation when the dust settles...

She's young and she's obviously talented and my argument was never that she wasn't. She's too fast that's how she beats everyone. That and her shots are precise and well measured. She plays with few unforced errors and doesn't overdo it on power because it's not necessary when your game is as developed as hers. That is why she will probably beat Sabalenka. In the long run consistency beats the riskier high winners/high unforced errors

Everyone who saw this match will attest that this was a mediocre 1ga playing in the 1st set... yet her opponent won a grandtotal of just 3 games and got bagelled in set 2, where 1ga maybe upped the ante a bit, but was still far from her best. And all this on her second worst surface after grass, the indoor hard. Scary!

Coco is not aggressive enough to win a match with Iga. Iga aggressive and precise style of tennis need to be match with the same aggressiveness and precision. Hopefully Coco can come back next year stronger and work with her mental toughness. She is only 18 years old, and the potential is there to become one of the great one.

This era in which Coco is in, is not an easy one. Everybody is tough , plays aggressively and their age range is so close, almost the same age.Everyone is getting stronger and stronger. I honestly feel sorry for Coco looks like she'll always be getting to the 1/4 finals only and then sent packing for the longest time because of that forehand, it's letting her down wonder if it's a disability or something happened to that hand at some point, hard to understand how on earth with those big shoulders would she have such a weak if not dead forehand, makes no sense.

In Coco's case she needs more time, we give her 2 years until she is 20...I believe her game will get better and mature. At that moment we will witness where Coco Gauff began to conquer the top of world tennis... before she was 30 years old she had 20 grand slam titles. By the age of 35 she had already broken the world record with 25 GS...definitely better than Margaret Court or Serena.🙌
