Thanks to you I gained confidence to wear straight leg vintage levi's that I had in my wardrobe for years, as they previously belonged to my mum and she wore them in her 20s, but i was never able to style them good enough to wear. You helped me develop my own style so much. Thank you for doing what you do! ❤️
I wore the 80s-90s looks the first time around during my career, and like it again! Now that I’m stylish 60, I was thinking about how much criticism we got for wearing sneakers during our commutes (I had a long walk at each end, plus bus or ferry, with transfers)! I had really nice, trim, leather light and dark pairs to blend in better with my corporate outfits. Our dress code was very formal and conservative, we couldn’t wear sleeveless tops, or open toe-or-heel shoes. I was the first to wear an over-the-knee skirt, and within days all the other women were wearing theirs, too.

Oh, I so needed this. I have couple black blazers in my closet and, although I love them, they just don’t seem to get enough wear. I think it’s because I tend to only wear them for dressier occasions. So this is a good reminder to throw a black blazer on with jeans and sneakers. Would love to see you do a similar video with other classic pieces... maybe a crisp white shirt?

Emma I love love your videos! I love your style and use it as inspiration however I am very short, 5 ft and blazers and oversied coats look ridiclous on me. Do you have any suggestions?
Maybe try a more tailored style or if you have a blazer you love take it to a tailor to adjust the length of the sleeves etc so that it fits correctly but is still oversized ❤️

Great outfits, even though they are not really new to me as it's been my favourite look most of my life. :) with shirts, tshirts, dresses, jeans etc. In France they've been a favourite look for decades. I even still wear 2 first-hand vintage black blazers (and a navy one) bought about 3 decades ago, still in great condition and so much like the one in the video. The quality of clothes back then was amazing even when they were not super expensive. Same thing with coats and trench coats. But the chunky orthopedic sandals trend, oh no... sorry but I find it awful , unflattering even on beautiful legs and feet... perfect for the kind of "what was I thinking" photos we look at after a few years. Even Chanel can look frumpy sometimes! Anyway that's just my personal opinion what matters is that you are enjoying them now :)
