    Wow, this is actually a difficult video for me to comment on. I will try not to get emotional.
    I second that about Donna Lawrence and I love her to pieces. I read her book and it’s amazing. Yes MJ I left a review on like three or four sites.
    As far as the perfume is concerned, I don’t have positive memories of perfumes connected to people, so I try not to think about it. However, I love Scentbird because those little bottles last me so long and I’m not spending a ton of money on a scent I might not like in the long run, I might just like it in the moment but then later on realizes it’s not me. I have tried Pink Brilliance by English Laundry, Rain by Commodity, Sanctuary by Vaquita Dolphin. I love Pink Brilliance!!!
    As far as journaling is concerned I did that when I was a kid, but I didn’t keep any of them. I do think it’s a great way to get your emotions out of your system and put them in a semi safe place I don’t think putting anything on the Internet is smart or safe especially if it’s super private. In my early 20s, I turned to sketch therapy and began to draw out my feelings rather than write them down. Writing for me is very difficult for many reasons. As I’ve already told you, I’m actually working on trying to write out my story and I’m finding it very painful, but I am hoping that it does more good than damage.
    Thank you for being you and know that what you’re doing is helping someone, I can’t speak for everybody else, but I know that you’re helping me. 🐺💜👉🏻☀️👑

    Any time I'm asked about what my favorite scent is or what my favorite scent memory is,y answer will forever be the same.... When I was growing up my Grandfather (Buzz) would make homemade completely from scratch, waffles. Remember the big waffles that were four squares? Those ones. I would spend every weekend at my Grandparents house (when I was around 10 I lived their full time) & I would wake up each Sunday to the smell of my Paps's waffles floating in the air. It was the most delicious smell I've ever inhaled. I'd get out of bed & go into the kitchen & there my Grandfather would be. Light blue jeans, an old white t-shirt, a bowl w his homemade batter on the counter & that huge waffle maker next to it. He'd already have 2 or 3 waffles on a plate, butter melting on all of them just waiting for me to grab one. I am 42 years old now. My Grandfather has been gone for almost 9yrs. I took care of him until he died & still take care of my Grandmother today. My Grandparents are the most precious ppl in my life. They raised me & gave me everything. I'd give anything for just one more Sunday w my Grandfather. Thank you for triggering such a special memory Jeannie. 💙

    Halston perfume reminds me of when I was young. My friends and I hung out on Sunset Strip in West Hollywood at the Rock & Roll clubs, and Halston perfume was a popular perfume in the late 70s/early 80s. Hence, I have since grown to more sophisticated perfume choices as grown up and educated woman;) Do you think we use to write in our diaries without acknowledging that perhaps we wondered if they would be read by posterity?

      That is a great question! I used to wonder about who might read my diary! (Perish the thought!!) 🤪

  • @CherushiChan
    @CherushiChan Рік тому +1

    Personally I haven't kept a diary in a long while but whilst packing to move house I uncovered my old diary from my high school years. What a read it was! Very embarrassing as expected with entries regarding sleepovers, relationships, crushes and even more embarrassing artwork included! But what surprised me was how moved I was and how sad I felt for my younger self in between the light hearted, cringy moments. Those times were turbulent, as for any teenager, but reading back I saw how lonely and self deprecating young me was and how she struggled with difficult situations such as living apart from parents, anxiety, and mental health but would still tear herself down. I actually cried for that image of my younger self and wanted to just give her a big hug! This lead to a realisation of beginning to understand the importance of self acceptance and not being so hard and critical of yourself as we don't deserve those harsh words and untrue accusations from our own mind no matter how old we are! I may try and take up the habit of diary writing again but this time try and make it a more positive experience even through the hard times. Thank you so much Jeannie for all you do, it means such a lot for so many!

      Yes! That’s very much like I felt, too! What we believed was so big and so bad, really wasn’t. But boy did we suffer! I read mine and saw my insecurities and just felt so sad for that. This is one of the reasons I show the old magazines in the critical light like I do. They aren’t real!

      That’s an interesting question! I can’t say I know - one way or the other. (I guess no one can!) I think it’s way more “complicated” and multidimensional than our little finite brains can even begin to comprehend.

      @JeannieBASMR  Рік тому +5

      @@Matthew332 I’m so sorry about your grandpa. Through the loss I’ve had, I’ve likened it to us being “energy” and one of the laws of physics is that energy is neither created or destroyed. If you look at a quarter sitting on a table, the quarter is solid and you see it’s physical-ness. But if you spin that quarter really fast, it will first blur. And if you spin it even faster, your eyes won’t see it at all. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It’s just existing at a higher energy level, one that our physical eyes cannot see. I like to think that our loved ones are also at a higher energy level that we cannot see, but are still around us in some manner. It doesn’t go along with religious doctrine, mind you. But it makes me feel good to think that.

When he would cut the grass and hedges, the scent of fresh cut grass and the Old Spice would permeate through the open windows. I'm 58 years old now and I still equate this memory to this very day. I Don't know if you read these, but I wish there was some way to convey to you how much you have helped me this past year. I am a newly single mother to a young son, my ex husband fell back into his addiction. I've always doubted myself, been so hard on myself, and in this journey of life forcing me out of the nest and into the world of doing what I never thought I was capable of, I have learned so much about myself. There are still so many days I struggle to have faith in my own strengths, and almost all of your videos bring me to (happy) tears because of the way you make me look at myself from another's perspective. Thank you so much. As you've said in other videos, I truly do believe our hardships create good, and you have been one of the good things brought into my life.

We all have days of struggling with our strength - so you are not alone. Please keep acknowledging how wonderful you are and how lucky your little son is. Tough times pass...know that. Celebrate every little joy you can. It's those moments that help to bring light and love to your existence. I heard or read that Life is not made up of minutes, but of moments. Focus on all the best ones you can...and expect more. Thank you again for taking the time to share here. I truly am sending you so much love and I have great faith in you! ❤❤❤❤

    Thank you so much Jeanie… I really loved this this was phenomenal I wanted you to reply to what I sent you a link to somehow in a coded message even if that was all it could be a knowledge what’s going on in the world in the unseen places the reality of what’s really going on according to Bryce Taylor Sue Lynn Eckert Ford Who had so much courage to come forward and bring it to our attention but somethings are just so extreme nobody could even really wrap their brain around it or even dare to go down that rabbit hole or even dare to help others to come to terms with it or even be willing to explore it and I at first I was like I don’t like it that this isn’t acknowledged in someway but maybe this was your acknowledgment maybe this is as close as you’re willing to even delve towards it I don’t know if you even looked at it maybe you didn’t I suspect you did to some degree and then turned it off and said this is too negative for me to listen to or maybe you listen to all 10 hours of it like I did nonstop until I fell asleep at three in the morning and had to wait and listen to the rest of it the next day and the next day the horror of it the reality of it the movie stars royalty the leaders of the world all interconnected into this secret handshake government world order. I do think we need to focus on being happy and content and creative and imaginative and explore and do diaries and let go of the bullshit and let go of the nightmare and stay in the positivity I’m all about that but I also think that we can make humanity a better place for those that walk behind us by acknowledging the deviation the sinister side the dark expose it shine a light on it so that never gets to creep into our world and our society again you look absolutely splendid and gorgeous beautiful I love the backdrop to very pretty and pretty on the inside too thank you for this video I really loved it and I smell the memory that comes back to me, I’m just flooded with so many memories I suppose that coconut oil sunny tropics or some sun Tropic Tropicana I don’t know what it was called it was in the 70s 80s and it was like a pineapple coconut oil suntan oils that we all used to use we all wanted to get tan and basically were just crispy fried weirdos but that smell was kind of with chlorine and that and lemon juice in the hair the warm sun yeah there was a product called sun in it had a real lemony smell so I was bleaching my hair up and tanning my body and swimming around and flirting with boys and it was a good smell and a good time and 70s for sure all my friends it’s a good smell thank you for being a great part of our lives we love you I love you big hugs. 🥳🎉🥰🐶☕️🎁👍🤍🤍🤍🌈
