I love to draw with these too. When you sharpen them you can paint with the shavings, or use them for fun effects. Also you can take pigments directly from the crayon! So many possibilities.
I would love to see tutorials in these crayons in Christmas cards. Or just tutorials in general on these. I just bought the set and want to learn how to use them. I’m so excited!!!!!
You can also get your brush wet and pull straight from the Neocolor. That’s one of my fave ways to use them!

I just got some of these for Christmas. I noticed the harder you push it onto the paper the more tooth of the paper you see. If you lightly apply pressure you won't have the marks underneath after applying the water.

Hi Emma, I’m watching this 2 weeks after you streamed this. Loving your experiments with the crayons! My watercolor teacher was just demonstrating using this with a watercolor painting she had done and they are really cool! You can try these on the BACK side of the Arches cold press paper as it is not quite as textured as the front side.

I feel like doing tiny little wildflowers or the like would be a good way to dip your toes into doing floral paintings with the crayons, just so you can get a feel for them. Plus, I love the tiny floral tutorials you've done previously. They're so dainty and pretty!

When you think of the crazy amount of pigment you get, it's a large price, but excellent investment. The AD pencils give more precision, where these give a looser effect.

I love this medium. I own all the colors. I bought most of mine open stock from Jerrysartarama. I store them in a large, old, crayola crayons box.

i live in oakville, we must live close, i bought a smaller set then just bought singles of the other colours i wanted...it a good idea i thought cuz like u said who needs a million yellows, greys etc..

I live in NY and visited a few times....nice place, but super retail and 90% of the time way too expensive. Also, prices are sometimes different online then in the store, and they will not match what they offered online for pricing. I had this happen with a Etcher sketch book last summer. Biggest take a way check prices other places first.

Is this the same product as watercolor sticks? Or are these crayon pastels different? I don’t think the watercolor sticks have wax in them.

Looking at your trees, you are using the crayons the way a person would use gouache. So I think you really do like gouache, just haven't found the right project.
