I see this was posted two months ago. I purchased an 8 footer a couple of weeks ago AND to my surprise, not only does it arrive with the black tape, BUT NOW THERE ARE ADDITIONAL ALUMINUM PLATES TO COVER THE JOINTS!!! This is truly worth the money spent.
Real happy with mine. Installed easy, works and looks great.
Was looking forward for this. Since shipping am import taxes to Germany are extreme, I have to build this light by myself after all. Your video helped my with the construction planning.
Thank you!!!
Great video on the light Bob!! Thanks for the install and review. Looks like a quality product!! Enjoy...
Congrats man, that's awesome. Just an FYI for anyone comparing, here is the difference from yours to the Predator arena light which I installed earlier this year. 1. Arena has internal cable routing, only visible cable is the outgoing power cable. 2. The cable feed is on the bottom instead of the top. The idea there is you don't have to cut the hang cables, they just wrap around the fixed base, and you can easily lower and install or move it. 3. The arena light has 4 preset brightnesses on the remote, and 4 preset "color temperatures", from a white daylight, to a sunset yellow, good if you play a lot at night. Remote was also pre-paired i think, but you can pair multiple lights. If those features matter to you, just keep in mind, as SSoP said, it's 2x+ the cost. Anyway, thanks for the great vid.
Also, not a big thing, but the included tape (with your perimeter light) is a good idea. I have the white colored light, so the little bit of light bleed is not really noticable, but on Black I think it would be a little more annoying.
where can i buy the real ones?
@@peterparker7124 depends on what you mean, for the non predator ones, just Google pool perimeter lights. For the predator arena light... I have no idea, it's like it disappeared, strange, seyberts looks like it might have some, but they have it marked as in store pickup only
I have same light for a 7ft. Best 400 ive ever spent
It seems like it lights up the whole room and not just the table.
Looks great Bob ! Keeps me thinking..Do I need one
Great video! I am seriously considering getting one. My only concern is that this product is made in China. But then again, what isn’t made in China lol.
Did you use a drill to put it on the ceiling?
Drywall anchors in the ceiling can be installed several ways, one is with a drill. ua-cam.com/video/oZFjHsy2h7U/v-deo.htmlsi=WQdULWOMlSk8YgZG
Can you confirm this is the 9ft size? I’m deciding if getting the 7 or 8 foot light would make a difference for a 9 foot table.
My light measures 102-1/2" x 53-1/4", it is the 9ft size.
When you turn off/on, does the light remember the dim setting?
Yes it does
Very helpful video, the instructions that came with the light were not clear.
How easy is it to replace any sections that fail.
I wouldn't know. Why would you expect it to fail. The video shows me putting it together, you oughta be able to figure what it would take.
@@ShortstopOnPool The site says its LEDs are rated 50,000 hours of life. So that would be 6 years if left on 24/7. Different things come into play which can also diminish the life expectancy of Light Emitting Diodes. Still seems like a good deal to me though. I have had one LED flashlight that uses a 18650 Rechargable lithium ion battery that has lasted since 2013 and is still my brightest flashlight, while other of my LED flashlights have burnt out in 2 years that use AA batteries. Not sure if the battery is a factor or I just got lucky with getting a high quality flashlight, but it cost a pretty penny, so maybe higher quality diodes were used.
The build quality IS NOT up to the price tag that they charge for it. Nice light, but be happy knowing there will be small issues with build quality and small gaps in white light covers
My experience is the build quality is super, and a great value for the price. I have no small gaps in my white light covers. Very happy with how easy it assembled and quality holds up over time. Love the light.
