Exploring Tehran's Busiest Street After dark: What's The Scene Like In The Grand Bazaar At Night?

  • The Grand Bazaar of Tehran is one of the largest and most visited central markets in Tehran and even Iran. It differs from other markets around the world due to its historical significance, cultural importance, and the unique atmosphere it offers.
While many markets may close in the evening, the Grand Bazaar remains open late into the night, reflecting the vibrant and dynamic nature of Tehran's bustling commercial center. Additionally, the bazaar's labyrinthine layout, rich architectural heritage, and diverse array of goods make it a truly distinctive shopping destination.

Such a great video, super to see real live as it is lived by ordinary people like you and me, no difference. So good to see so many strong women without hijabs, in fact you see more hijabs in London from my experience. Lovely clean up to date scene, this could be Europe except the people here are probably better dressed and look healthier, certainly than in the UK. Great, healthy food on sale too, not burgers and such. Well done.

In Iran women are beaten to death for not wearing hijab. I think the women who do not bow to a stupid and brutal patriarchal law are very brave and smart women.

There’s videos of Tehran you can literally look up, a lot of woman wear it, don’t wear it and half wear it. Don’t be fooled by propoganda.
And how exactly is the hijab patriarchal when it protects women and prevents men from looking at a women to satisfy their gaze. Complete nonsense. You just have pre conceived notions that you apply to things you don’t even understand.

I can't understand why we can't live all in peace. Iran seems a wonderful place. They have in incredible history. And here in Italy they only talk about Iran as an oppressive country. Nations are always much more than the current government they have and we should never judge a nation (one of the oldest country on earth in this case) just by what is happening politically to them today.

      It was an interesting example.😂
Iranians value cleanliness highly, and hygiene holds a special place in the culture of many cities in Iran. However, the congestion you see here is only in one part of the city, and this is the busiest street in Tehran. It's not always like this; it gets busy like this due to the proximity to the Iranian New Year and the weekend. Everyone has come for their New Year's Eve shopping. This is Tehran's bazaar, and since it's cheaper here than other places in Iran, everyone flocks here.

You've made a very interesting series of videos of a country that most people from the West (unfortunately) think twice about visiting, despite doubtlessly being interested in seeing the Iranian history and way of life. 1979 was a bad year for your country, it's time for change. It seems to me that Iran and other Islamic countries still have a long way to go before eventually reaching a stage where religion is well separated from political power - as is the case in the Western world. My impression is that the younger Iranians certainly much prefer the Western way of life and its relative freedoms, which is what will sooner or later hopefully drive out those running the show in your country with a narrow-minded mentality that dates back to somewhere in the Middle Ages. "Morality police"...err...we'll do without that. There is hope according to your footage, but it will take time for crucial changes to turn Iran into a truly democratic and thriving country - which is what it could, and should be. Those at the top are spending far too much money on missiles and other military nonsense (why on earth do they need nuclear weapons?), as opposed to investing in your society to build a better future for all concerned. For the record, Switzerland has been a thriving democracy ever since the country adopted neutrality a few hundred years ago: maybe a good example for Iran to emulate? Keep up your excellent work!
