@@christianflores I have tried the same outsole on the Fp Sentinels and i didnt face any detach problem. Although in my life i have seen people able to detach shoes that was impossible for me to do so i believe it is also the way someone skates.Although i am pretty sure that you were unlucky with that model...i am going to review them soon as well on my website so i will have a better opinion as well.They feel awsome though!

Show less The DGS system in this shoe absorbs more shock than any of our insoles and any shoe currently in existence. In reality, replacing the insole did not actually increase any sort of impact protection, it only added arch support

I had a different experience with the impact. Couldn't complain about much, any pain i did feel came from old injuries (10+ rolled ankles do that). And im glad that im not the only one dealing with that sole coming apart problem. I hope they fix that.
Sorry to hear that, we would gladly replace them. As for the shock energy, the only feedback we've had so far is that it is amazing so we are surprised to hear him say that also.

So they basicly skate like the Suciu II ADV but without the flick. Because that thing had great shock absorption, but just decent impact protection. Thanks for the review, I kinds expected this because even footprint cant cheat physics for 70 dollars. I d like to see the DC Barksdale or if the Janoski RM is better than the OG one.

The way you felt about this shoe is the same way I felt about the éS Swift (not the 1.5, those were amazing), and the outsole did the same damn thing. Whatever glue they used is just not ready for heat I suppose.... Great review as always, duder!
Dman. Yeah I hate that it started to detach. But overall pretty good shoe.
I also had those first Swifts and they did detach at one spot, but it was never a problem if you ask me. Just shoe goo it.

I found this to be surprising in how the impact protection felt off. Maybe landing somewhat on the outsole actually ruins the effect of the fluid X technology? Don't get me wrong, I don't question the way non-newtonian fluids work. I've got the FP Painkiller socks and appreciate them (although, admittedly I would have loved to see a much wider shin protector surface and for my ankles the protection should be higher up the socks to cover my ankles best). But somehow I feel there is still a trade-off going on between board feel and impact protection. It's probably why people are surprised it doesn't handle impact _better_ . At around $70 or so, I still don't think FP shoes are a bad choice.
Christian ik they are the same shoe model as the old school pros but I still think it would awesome if you did the vans X baker old school pros

Never had a problem with the outsole being detached in 2 pairs of Sentinels that i had and reviewed on my website.I believe you have been just unlucky with that specific pair. About the insoles i can say that they are there to provide comfort as the most of the shock absorption will come from the midsole. So i believe that Fp used a thin basic king foam insole to maximize the boardfeel which is true as these have the flexibility of a vulc since day one.

Thanks for checking out the Mark I. We're sorry that your outsole started to delam and we will replace any shoe that happens to. It hasn't been too common however we are looking to ensure that will happen to zero shoes in the future.
We'd like to clarify a few things about shock/impact energy. Cushioning and shock/impact energy are two different things. We use a special material that absorbs all the shock energy but is soft and flexible in its normal state which is why you still get great board feel. The entire outsole of this shoe is filled with it and has a built in heel cup and arch support which keeps the foot stable during impacts while the material adapts and absorbs the shock energy. What I dont get is why you rule out that people can use your game changer orthotics in your own shoes. Double impact reduction ... makes the shoe soggy and wobbly.
@@oskargarden4559 The DGS system already has arch support and a heel cup built into it. If you have flat/low arch feet, you'll feel it even while walking once you've broken in the shoe. If you have a mid or higher arch, it will spring into action on heavy impacts when you foot pronates. The very first iterations of the DGS system did not come out as stable as we wanted however the new DGS elite system is quite stable and supportive. It is possible to add a low profile gamechanger or kingfoam orthotic to it like Christian did however that's not going to actually increase the energy absorption of the shoe, only provide added arch support. We recommend skating the shoe as is. The shoe as it is stock is currently the only shoe in the world to meet en1621 standards for motorcycle collision safety level 1 (in the heel)
@@FootprintInsoleTechnology ... well, if you have a low arch that will not be a help if it only supports your arch when on impact. That is the whole idea of your gam changer orthotics ... or any prescribed insoles in general. ;)

ayyyy thanks for watching it guys! yeah I get that the you have a lot fo cool technology in the shoe and thats awesome. it didnt feel like it helped me when jumping down anything. the insoles definitely did. the shoes are pretty good and I dont need to watch a explanation for them I just want my feet to feel more protected when I skate. thanks!
@@christianflores Hey Christian, The puzzling thing to us about that is the insoles you bought are our low profile kingfoam orthotics which are a 3mm sheet of our kingfoam material over a dynamic arch support. The stock insoles in the shoes are a 3mm kingfoam sheet. Therefore we believe the true issue here is that you may have fallen arches and the added arch support is assisting your arches during impact/ over pronation. Most skaters don't realize that their arches tend to roll inwards on large impacts which leads to joint pain and knee problems. Therefore we've decided to send you some of our gamechangers which are true custom orthotics that you can mold to your feet and will totally control the arch from collapsing during skating. That is also a key distinction to make: it doesn't matter how much shock energy is absorbed if you have joint issues. You won't get heel bruises or fatigued as easily but your joints are still going to hurt from the force of gravity on your bones, tendons and ligaments while bending down. This might be a good video and topic in the future as that is the message we've been trying to spread in skating since day one.
