The proof edition does look identical in finish to the standard 10,000 mintage St. Basil's Cathedral non proof. It was possible that they had sent proof coins from the listed mintage (only 370) instead of the standard but others also have the same finish on the standard, so that rules that out and it basically appears like a repackaged standard coin with no changes which would be a disappointment I'm sure to buyers. As far as quality control my experience is only with problems on the TEP packaging quality, but the company in my own experience has replaced them without issue but caused me to only now buy TEP packaged items that are not listed with stock photos anymore at this time.
Apmex always gives the MOST GENERIC AND BS responses to problems and questions!!!!!!! At this point with this type of product if people keep buying this gimmicky products they deserve what they get. imho
I always buy close to spot and then add more $$ if the coin looks more detailed or seems like they will sell out. I stay away from proofs. I think I have maybe 2 or 3 proofs and only because I got them close to spot. I also buy bullion/coins which I think are pretty. I don't think those Tetris bullion coins are pretty. I think they are selling to people who like the game.
