Love the square cropped one with the crescent fall and the rock in the centre. Russ and I are back up in the Lakes in the autumn, hope to catch you in the gallery as we missed you when we came up in April/May. Most of our shots lately seem to be less landscape, more Ernie! He’s our cocker spaniel pup!
Great work Stuart, Thanks for sharing, also thanks for the chat, when i came into the Gallery last week.Your work is very inspiring & for me as a novice your guidance is very much welcomed
Lovely video Stuart, absolutely love the wide angle square image in the middle of the video of that foreground circular rock that then showed further up river too, lovely image. Nice b&w shot too to finish off the video, lovely framing of the water flow in foreground 👏👏👏
Got a couple of days in Keswick in October on way up to Scotland and this could well be on my list Stuart as never seen it before. Hopefully right amount of water. Thanks for the idea!
Great video as usual Stuart. That's a cracking location and I bet it would be even better with some autumnal colour and a bit more water (never far away in the Lakes 😂) That last image really did benefit from your super mono conversion. Cheers.
Beautiful images Stuart! Wishing I had some hills and waterfalls like that here in our part of Ontario.Originally from Scotland, I really miss the scenery.💙
I agree Stuart it is a nice walk up there but definitely more water required and you can guarantee that will happen some good shots never the less. Looking forward to the jaunt up Red Pike with which I have a love hate relationship. Cheers mate.
Enjoyed this Stuart, really liked how you strike a nice balance with the water to maintain a feeling of motion but with the right amount of blur. Also loved the mono at the end. No heatwave up here over the wall 😬
Thanks for this lovely set of pictures. I think one key aspect of intimate moving water pictures is the contrast between the fluidity of the water and the sharpness of the rocks. This is considerably enhanced by using wet rocks to bring out their texture, the image at 7:37 illustrates this really well. I liked the mono image at the end also.
Watching this brought back a few memories for me. I remember shooting the first waterfall you shot here, though I fell into that trap with too much white water and rocks in the foreground of my images. However, I completely understand why you spent more time there than you realised, as it's a location that has the power to do that, simply finding suitable compositions within the wealth of possibilities. Never been to the second location, but I can see why you're eager to shoot it. I hope the weather gods smile on you another day when you decide to return to it. By the sounds of it, you must be due some at that location.
Cheers Ian yeah I'll be back for sure, the second location looks a good miserable weather spot to be honest! Galleny Force I'll back in autumn I think.
Nice one Stu, lovely to see you. A good day out is worth a lot even if the camera conditions aren’t ideal. The mono at the end has to be my favourite. The landscape version of the first composition seemed too compromised at the top and bottom, much preferred the portrait 👍🏻👍🏻
Great images Stuart and a lovely looking location. It looks like the perfect place to get your feet wet looking for a composition. I'm no stranger to that 😂. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Stuart... I've been following your adventures here on UA-cam for a while now and I'm really enjoying them. I like your production and presentation. I'm coming up to the Lakes from my base in Cornwall with a couple of friends the first week in November. Looking forward to the trip very much indeed and hoping for some lovely Autumnal colours! Keep them coming...
Enjoyed this one Stuart. My house name is Langstrath and this video has reminded me that I should really go back to this location more. As always you made the most of the conditions and produced some great images. Looking forward to the next one.
A great day out. Gorgeous shots you got Stuart. Beautiful.
Cheers Kelley thanks for watching

Another great video, great insight on composition. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks Paul :-)
Wonderful contrasts and motion in the black and white. Beautiful Stuart!
Thanks Jim 👍

I like the square crop image, subject sits in it perfectly 😀 . Looks a great place to revisit in autumn 😍
Cheers Simon yes I liked that one too

Thanks very much yeah I intend to come back in autumn though that area is notorious for shedding leaves quite early

A great vlog as always Stuart, I really must pay a visit to that part of the Lakes.
Cheers Rob

Thanks mate yeah well worth a walk up there, it’s a good crap weather spot as it suits mood I think
Perfectly judged water flow
