Johnny we are just happy you send us videos and pics of your trip. They do not need to be perfect as long as your vacation is. Enjoy the rest of your time away /
That walk from getting off the plane to getting onto the Heathrow Express has to be the longest walk I have ever experienced after deplaning! Just when you think 'Surely, this must be it now' another extremely long corridor comes into view.
yup, I found that as well! That’s why I prefer flying into Gatwick with Westjet instead! It’s a much more straightforward airport!
Try Pearson in Toronto !!!!!!
After hours in a plane, I’m happy to walk
Get a cab next time, sick and tired watching you walk for an hour or so !
Got to be a whinging Pom?
Many thanks Johnny for documenting your travels while you're abroad, it's pretty cool we can come along with you and looking forward to hearing your thoughts on London. I'm glad your experience at Heathrow Airport was smooth, and nice ride on the Heathrow Express. Have a great day ☺
good morning everyone
Good morning
Another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage compilation and a very interesting video to watch .. thanks again Jhonny
My nephew made the same trip from Heathrow this past November. Same train, same station, same walk, same area. It was fun to see it all again.
Hmmm ... only ever stayed in London after travelling there by train. Heathrow was always a transfer to another flight. So this is actually really helpful - thanks for sharing. Hope your time is fun and the weather stays fine.
I hope you've enjoyed London mate & hope you come back here, Johnny! 😎👍💂♂️🇬🇧
London is amazing!!
@@christinecamley I know I live here! 😀👍💂♂️🇬🇧
@@FalcomScott312 Yesssss!!!
London is BEAUTIFUL!!
I love kislux that on the butterfly bag it says auguri / tanti auguri which means happy birthday
I have to admit I usually get the Heathrow Express, though cheaper options are the Elizabeth line (aka the Liz line) and the Underground (Piccadilly line -the cheapest option).
such a beautiful airport. Traveling is fun
Hey I know this route well!!
Have a beautiful week, Christine, and I hope you come back to London England 🏴 soon! 😁👍
Thank you for posting this. Heading to LHR shortly and this helps gauge how long that walk / process really is to get from plane to train....looks like customs is the least problematic of everything.
That was the easiest part!
happy to see this brother
Thx for video very useful. Unlike your trip which is more fun, I’m planning mine well in advance:) hence watching your vid as I wanted to see where the Hex was.I use Heathrow occasionally but usually drive to it. I know the lifts are a nightmare there and now I know it’s a fair old trek between terminal and station thx to you:) PS because I booked well in advance I paid £26 for 2 returns on Heathrow Express at a guess that’s a little cheaper than Elizabeth Line. I have too much time on hands but here goes… walking: 6min 59secs, Lift1: 3:13, Lift2: 1:05 Total: 11:17.
So ticket sale girl wasnt too far off, the lifts are the thing that get in the way😊
Can’t wait til you get back to Toronto..
Hi johnny thanks for sharing your story with us have a lovely day from Estelle
I was on the Heathrow Express when it had only been open four or five weeks. And at that time the trains were shorter less carriages and they had a First Class option in a separate carriage as well as standard.
what a crazy experience after deplaning
A stream maybe one of these days again !?
Great video…feels like I’m there! So anyway, the lady said it’s a 6 min walk at 14.30, you reached the platform at 25.40 so the walk was 11 mins 😊
Lies lol
@@JohnnyStrides Basically everything about the express is at best bending the truth, sure it's the quickest route in but only by 15 minutes - absolutely not worth the extra £14 compared to the slower train to Paddington.
"The Amazing Race" I find it modern clean and disorganized at the same time. Not a good airport for transfers to downtown. So much walking!
Enjoyed seeing Heathrow. That walk to the train was certainly long.
London def looks cleaner than Toronto. Hows the smell there? Any p smell at the train stations and downtown area like in Toronto?
I just jump on the tube, it’s like £3.50 a little slower, but easier, you’ll get a seat as it’s the first stop…. But about an hour to central london on it.
It costs far more than that from Heathrow into Paddington on the tubes if I'm not mistaken.
@@JohnnyStrides yeah sorry it’s £5.60 , I get out before it hits zone 1 , so my actual fare is £3.40 to Hammersmith…… (zone 2)
OMG, 8 hours late. Do you get any compensation from Air Canada?
I’m surprised,if you didn’t have a lot of luggage, why didn’t you use the escalators at Heathrow down to the train station instead of waiting for the lifts?
If possible, please redo the train station and outside of it. I'd like to see their high-speed trains and also streets near the station. I think they're nearby. So sad that your camera was out of focus.
I covered Paddington in a future video coming up!
You stayed on the same street where we stayed in 2019. Don't go to that Steak house!
I didn't lol
can't you use credit card to tap on train entrance for cheapest price
It is so depressing to see how other countries have great infrastructure and then I see how it is in the USA. One of my subway stops has been under construction since 2000 and they almost never have the escalators working (probably to save money). 1/2 the ticket machines are broken and homeless populate all corners.
I wonder if she meant a 6 minute walk to the lift ?
I think so lol
Hey what eSIM did you use?
Mobimatter the "Europe Best" one...
London uk is better than Canada
Is there a taxi waiting outside in Paddington .
Yes
You shouldn’t have bothered with the Heathrow express, just take the Elizabeth Line. The Heathrow Express is designed to rip off tourists (sorry). Cheaper and just as fast! Also did you notice your Canadian debit cards don’t work in the UK? Only your credit card will. It’s frustrating! I’m from Winnipeg and visit the UK regularity.
How often do you carry £ when traveling to the U.K.? Do you get it from your Canadian bank before flying out? Or do you just use your credit card for everything?
@@drewpatterson8261 you pretty much have to use your CC for everyone in the UK. The so-called “tap to pay” system that is used everywhere in Europe is not compatible with the “interac” system that Canada uses for debit cards. Canada was one of the first countries in the world that used debit (I’ve been using it myself since 1989) but its totally incompatible with the “tap to pay” debit system that every other country uses. You cannot use a Canadian debit/bank card to make debit purchases directly at merchants, tube stations or any other direct purchase; only a Canadian credit card (not a debit/bank card). You can use the debit card at a bank in the UK but not “tap to pay” purchases unfortunately. I found that out the hard way.
I never use my debit card traveling (it's silly when credit cards have purchase protection, accumulate points etc).
I wanted to experience the Heathrow Express, I took the Elizabeth Line back. I often do things that don't make the most sense for the sake of getting the experience (or content) when I travel.
Wow I’m sorry my guy but this video wasn’t your best. I couldn’t really watch all 50minutes of it. You must’ve been really frazzled to not notice how bad the quality was. You can’t win em all. Still appreciate you doing the video
It was only at the end when my camera changed focus modes on me (I certainly didn't do it manually!). Since it was just the last 15 mins I decided to leave it.
Love how the woman on the elevator at Heathrow realizes you are being a creep and secretly filming her. Creep
