Can these "patches" be converted by J106 librarian to a DAW sampler for those of us not lucky to possess original hardware synths?
No, these are not samples. I will have these patches ready as a TAL sampler pack in a while though.
@@EspenKraft I don't now if TAL sampler is native to Logic Pro X, but those synth sounds are so crisp and pure it is a wonder if it can only be produced by the original Juno 106. To have those sounds available to play and arrange on a DAW would be delightful.
I have other packs for the TAL sampler. You should check out my videos on that. TAL sampler is a VST plugin that emulates some of the most iconic 80s samplers. I'll have most of these sounds in that pack later. It will not sound exactly the same, but that is the whole point.
@@EspenKraft ide be interested In that too
I have MKS-50. Not really care about 106 filter.. Do I miss anything else?
The Alpha can do all the Juno-106 sounds and more, so no. Except for the looks and tactile approach, you don't miss anything. Can't use these patches though. ;)
@@EspenKraft, thank you my friend for your reply. This sounds good.
😊
Now for more alpha juno patches!
I have no plans to do more for the Alpha. I will release a TAL sampler pack for the Alpha though.
Hey Espen! Great video. What drum machine is used on the intro track?
Thanks! These are drums from my sample pack called "The Ultimate Italo Disco / Synth-Pop Sample Pack". You can find a video demo of it here and links to it too.
@@EspenKraftthanks! Are they sampled from a specific machine?
You must really watch the video. I go through it there. Loads of different sources.
hi espen! how are you? awesome sounds!!
will your patches work with the new Roland JUNO-DS 61-Key? thanks!
Thanks! No they will not.
espen do you have juno patches for TAL SAMPLER?
No, I haven't made any TAL sample pack of that. Too common synth.
Very cool. Will have to buy a Juno so I can play these!! 😉 But seriously kinda considering it now... haha. 🤔
Cheers!
Already have a juno 60. Don t like the look of the 106 but i scored one for a amazing price, that is getting some tlc now. I wonder... will this video convince me to keep it or sell it... is it different enough to keep next to my other polys... i hope not 😅
I'd keep the 60 of course. ;-)
@@EspenKraft yeah, the 60 stays - but will i keep the 106... :)
Nydelige varme, klassiske Roland lyder der. Hadde jeg hatt en 106, skulle jeg ikke tenkt meg om to ganger.
Takk for det! :D
well, for now I just have to make myself happy with alpha ju -2 and mks-70 and resist buying this thing although is tempting lol
If you have the Alpha, you don't really need the 106. The Alpha can do everything the 106 can, and more. ;-)
confirmation. alpha can do most of the sound of the 106. i have both. but I haven't find the energy to sell the alpha 😁
